Greenhouse Recruiting

Capture interview notes automatically with Greenhouse Notetaker

Greenhouse Notetaker is now available for Core, Plus, and Pro customers. It joins interviews on Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams to record and transcribe the conversation, then generates notes mapped to the interviewer’s scorecard questions. Interviewers review and edit the notes before submitting, so they can stay focused on the conversation instead of splitting their attention to take notes.

Notetaker is off by default. Site Admins can enable it under Configure > AI Tools > Greenhouse Notetaker settings.

Customize the candidate interview reminder

Recruiters can now choose a template for the candidate interview reminder and edit it before it sends, instead of relying on fixed wording. Every organization gets a Default Candidate Interview Reminder template that's selected automatically, so reminders keep sending with no setup required.

Show candidates standard stage names in MyGreenhouse

Candidate-facing stage names in MyGreenhouse now come from a standard set instead of free text. In Configure > MyGreenhouse, Site Admins pick a standard name for each internal hiring stage and write the description candidates read. Job seekers recognize where they are, whichever organization they applied to, and can check their own status instead of emailing the recruiting team for an update.

Existing setups keep their current names until someone edits them, and in-app prompts guide the mapping.

Advance and reject candidates directly within Voice AI

Voice AI customers can now advance or reject candidates directly within the Voice AI interface. The candidate's status automatically syncs to Greenhouse Recruiting, keeping your hiring pipeline up to date without needing to switch platforms to log the decision.

Ask questions about a candidate (Open Beta)

The Candidate Insights Assistant is now available in open beta for Core, Plus, and Pro customers, answering plain-language questions about a single candidate using that candidate's existing Greenhouse data, including applications, scorecard feedback, and stage timing. This removes the need to move between tabs to piece together where someone stands.

Site Admins can enable the Assistant from the AI Features menu in Greenhouse Recruiting, independently of other AI features.

Search for candidates using natural language with the Talent Matching assistant (Open Beta)

Recruiters can now use natural language to describe the exact candidate they are looking for, and the Talent Matching assistant will automatically translate those requirements into calibrations and filters. This simplifies the Talent Matching experience and helps teams surface the right candidates faster.

Site Admins can enable the assistant under Configure > AI Tools

Expand Greenhouse MCP access to more team members (Open Beta)

Greenhouse MCP access has expanded beyond Site Admins so more members of the hiring team, including Job Admins, coordinators, and hiring managers, can run workflows against Greenhouse data. This simply allows team members to use MCP for work they’re already allowed to do, as data access requires both organization-level MCP scopes and the user’s existing Greenhouse permissions.

Other changes

  • Job post descriptions can now be exported in bulk from the All Jobs page, using the Email job posts bulk action. The export arrives as a download link by email and includes the intro, conclusion, and pay transparency sections.
  • Recruiters can now see better errors when a stage transition fails on the candidate profile. Transitions previously failed silently, so errors went unnoticed.
  • Meeting organizers will now receive an email when a candidate declines an interview, helping teams respond sooner to reschedule the interview or re-engage the candidate.

Track Harvest v3 changes in a public changelog

You can now see what's changed in Harvest v3 without contacting Greenhouse. The changelog on the Harvest documentation site carries dated entries explaining each change, with RSS support so updates come to you.

Read Talent Matching AI opt-out status through Harvest v3

A new Harvest v3 endpoint returns a candidate's AI opt-out status for Talent Matching, and the same status is available through Greenhouse MCP. This removes the need for custom application questions to pass opt-out status to integration partners.

Access requires the Talent Matching feature, and only Site Admins or Job Admins with the Can view AI opt-out status permission on the relevant job can call the endpoint.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where a YouTube video embedded in a job post description appeared as a blank space on the public job board instead of the video.
  • Fixed an issue where adding options to a linked custom application field deleted the application rules tied to job post questions using that field, across multiple job posts.
