Okta is an identity and access management platform that helps organizations securely connect people to technology. Okta Workflows is a no-code automation tool within Okta that lets customers build and orchestrate business processes — such as user provisioning, lifecycle management, and cross-application data sync — without writing custom code.
Okta's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to manage users and candidates in their Greenhouse org directly from Okta Workflows, enabling automated recruiting and identity workflows across both platforms.
Configure the Okta and Greenhouse integration
To create a connection in Okta Workflows:
Open the Connections tab in the Workflows Console, or open a Greenhouse card.
Select New Connection.
Enter a connection Name. A unique name is useful if you plan to create multiple connections to share with your team.
Enter a connection Description. This is useful to have more information regarding your connection.
Select Create.
A popup window opens on the Greenhouse authorization page, listing the supported scopes. Enter your Email and select Log in to Greenhouse.
Sign in with your Greenhouse account credentials.
A consent window appears, listing the supported scopes. Optionally, select the Authorize using a service account checkbox.
Select Authorize.
You're redirected back and the connection is created.

Use the Okta and Greenhouse integration
A Workflows event trigger (such as a new hire in an HR system) kicks off a flow that lists or updates a candidate/user record in Greenhouse via the connector's actions/cards.
Example scenario: Provisioning an Okta account from Greenhouse user data
- Add the Greenhouse — Read User card and provide the user's Primary Email to retrieve their record, including their ID, Name, First Name, Last Name, and Primary Email Address.
- Add the Okta — Create User card and map the retrieved Greenhouse fields to the corresponding Okta profile attributes: Username and Primary Email from Primary Email Address, First Name, and Last Name.
- Configure the Activate setting according to your organization's provisioning policy, then test and activate the flow.
- The flow will automatically create a corresponding Okta user account whenever it runs, using the retrieved Greenhouse user's information.
