Attesto's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to assess candidate applications directly from their Greenhouse workflow. Users can configure a job to run Fraud Screening or Qualifications + Fraud Screening through the Attesto Job Intake Wizard. Once configured, candidate applications are automatically assessed by Attesto, and the results are sent back to Greenhouse, where users can review fraud results in candidate tags and fit assessment results in application tags.
Configure the Attesto integration
During your company's onboarding, Attesto will configure a dedicated tenant in its platform to securely manage your organization's data and establish the integration with your Greenhouse account using OAuth 2.0.
Your Attesto Tenant
Attesto will create a dedicated tenant for your organization. Your Attesto instance will be available at a URL similar to:
https://yourcompanyname.main.attesto.com/
This tenant is isolated from other customers to ensure the security and confidentiality of your data.
Authorize the Greenhouse integration
Once your tenant has been configured, Attesto will securely provide your Greenhouse administrator with an authorization link.
Open the link and review the permissions that Attesto is requesting. These permissions are required for the integration to function correctly and will be displayed by Greenhouse before authorization.
Authorize using a service account
After signing in to Greenhouse, select Authorize using a service account.

Complete the authorization
After approving the requested permissions, Greenhouse will display a confirmation message indicating that the authorization was successful.
Once you see this confirmation, the connection between Attesto and Greenhouse has been successfully established, and your integration is ready to use.
Note:
- If you are adding or editing the customer's data as part of the integration, please specify which fields you're taking action on.
- If your integration involves mapping fields between your system and Greenhouse, provide a comprehensive list or table of mapped fields.
Create custom fields
Custom application fields
Next, in order to use the Attesto integration, you'll need to create two custom application fields in Greenhouse Recruiting and share the custom field IDs with the Attesto team. Sharing these IDs is important — they're used to update Attesto data in Greenhouse applications and jobs.
To create a custom application field, click the Configure icon on your navigation bar, then click Custom Options on the left, then select Applications.
Click Add field, and enter the following details to configure the new field for the Attesto One Pager:

Then create a new field for the Attesto Interaction URL:

Custom job field
Next, in order to use the Attesto integration, you'll need to create a custom job field in Greenhouse Recruiting.
To create a custom job field, click the Configure icon on your navigation bar, then click Custom Options on the left, then select Jobs.
Click Add field, and enter the following details to configure the new field:

Use the Attesto integration
Once the Attesto integration has been enabled for your Greenhouse account, you can use Attesto to automatically assess candidate applications for fraud and/or job fit.
The integration works in the background after the assessment is configured. Jobs and candidate applications are periodically synchronized with Attesto or received automatically through Greenhouse webhooks.
Configure an assessment for a job
Open the Attesto Job Intake Wizard.
To configure Attesto for a job, open the job in Greenhouse and locate the attesto_management custom field.
The field contains a link to the Attesto Job Intake Wizard, where you can configure how applications for that job should be assessed.
Click the link to open the Attesto Job Intake Wizard.
Choose the assessment type
In the Job Intake Wizard, you can choose which type of assessment should be performed on candidate applications.
Screening for Fraud only
Select Screening for Fraud only if you want Attesto to evaluate candidates exclusively for potential fraud or suspicious activity.
With this option, Attesto will perform the fraud assessment without evaluating the candidate's qualifications against the job requirements.
Qualifications + Fraud Screening
Select Qualifications + Fraud Screening if you want Attesto to evaluate candidates based on both:
- Job qualifications and fit
- Potential fraud or suspicious activity
When this option is selected, you must define the criteria that Attesto should use to evaluate the candidate's qualifications.
These criteria should be based on the job posting description and requirements. The criteria help Attesto determine how well each candidate matches the requirements of the position.
Once the assessment configuration is saved, Attesto can begin processing candidate applications for the job.
Review assessment results
After the integration has been configured, you do not need to manually send each candidate to Attesto.
Attesto automatically synchronizes jobs and candidate applications from Greenhouse. Depending on the integration configuration, information can be synchronized periodically or received from Greenhouse through webhooks.

When an application is assessed, Attesto automatically sends the assessment results back to Greenhouse.
Fraud assessment results
Fraud assessment results are added to the candidate's tags in Greenhouse.
You can view the result by opening the candidate's profile and reviewing their candidate tags.
This allows recruiting teams to quickly identify the fraud assessment result while reviewing a candidate.
Fit assessment results
Fit assessment results are added to the application's tags in Greenhouse.
You can view the result by opening the candidate's application for the corresponding job and reviewing the application tags.
This allows recruiters and hiring teams to review the candidate's assessment result directly from the application.
Typical workflow
The typical workflow after enabling the Attesto integration is:
Configure Attesto for the job using the attesto_management field in Greenhouse.
Select the assessment type: Screening for Fraud only or Qualifications + Fraud Screening.
Define the qualification criteria when using Qualifications + Fraud Screening.
Candidates apply to the job through the normal Greenhouse application process.
Attesto receives the job and candidate application information automatically.
Attesto performs the configured assessment.
Assessment results are automatically sent back to Greenhouse.
Review the results in Greenhouse: fraud results appear in candidate tags, and fit results appear in application tags.
No additional action is required from the recruiter for each individual application once the job has been configured.
