CoderPad enables your organization to instantly write and execute code collaboratively with a candidate during an interview, right in the browser. Greenhouse Recruiting and CoderPad have created an integration so that you can conveniently set up a CoderPad session for an Greenhouse Recruiting. In this article, we will cover how to:
Retrieve CoderPad API Key
To enable the Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with CoderPad, Greenhouse Recruiting needs CoderPad's API Key.
Note: Every user in your organization who wishes to use the integration must retrieve the CoderPad API Key.
Navigate to your CoderPad account and locate the API Key on your Personal Settings page. Copy the CoderPad API Key.
Enable Greenhouse/CoderPage Integration
With the CoderPad API Key copied, navigate to your Greenhouse Recruiting account. Click the ellipsis on the navigation bar and select Integrations from the dropdown menu.
Note: Every user in your organization who wishes to use the integration must input the CoderPad API Key into Greenhouse Recruiting.
From the Integrations page, use the provided search feature to find CoderPad. Select CoderPad from the results list.
Click Connect on the right-hand side and input the copied CoderPad API Key.
When finished, click Save. The Greenhouse/CoderPad integration is enabled for this user's account.
Add CoderPad Link to Interview Stage
To add a CoderPad link to an interview stage, Greenhouse users with the integration enabled should click Schedule Interview from a candidate's On Job panel.
Note: A CoderPad link can be added to any interview stage with a scheduled interview. In the below example, we have created a unique interview stage for the CoderPad test.
From the Schedule Interview page, click +CoderPage Link to generate a session. The link to the session will automatically be added in the description of the interview.
Complete the steps to schedule the interview with the Interviewer on your team. When finished, click Schedule and Continue.
Note: Don't forget to also include CoderPad link to any candidate communication you send regarding the interview.
The CoderPad link will be in the Interview Kit for your reference and will visible in your calendar client. Click Send Invites to send the interview invitation.
Newly generated CoderPad link says that it has already been used.
In order to prevent wasting links when interviews get rescheduled, if any interviews are created in the same Greenhouse stage CoderPad assigns the same CoderPad link that was already created. This is because CoderPad links are generated based on specific data points passed on by Greenhouse Recruiting.
To ensure a fresh CoderPad link, create a new interview for the stage.
