Business Intelligence Connector provides additional insight into an organization's Greenhouse data and is designed for companies with robust analytics and business intelligence requirements.

You'll need to enable Business Intelligence Connector in order to begin receiving your data.

Before you begin

To enable Business Intelligence Connector, you'll need to be a user who can manage and configure BIC.

Next, you'll need to decide whether to use Amazon S3 or Redshift to receive your data. Business Intelligence Connector will perform nightly ETLs to the method of your choosing. Check out Redshift vs. S3 for Business Intelligence Connector for more information on which method might best serve your organization's needs.

Enable Business Intelligence Connector

When you're ready, log in to Greenhouse Recruiting and click the Configure Configure icon icon on your navigation bar.

Click Dev Center.

Click Business Intelligence Connector.

Next, choose your ETL method.

For S3

To enable Business Intelligence Connector for S3, click Configure beside S3.

Choose the AWS region for your organization from the dropdown.

Enter your S3 bucket name, and click Next.

You'll be presented with a bucket policy. Click Copy bucket policy, then paste the policy to your S3 console.

Click Send test file, and Greenhouse Recruiting will place a test file in the bucket you provided.

Use your S3 console to find the confirmation code, and paste it into the provided field.

Click Save and enable S3.

Business Intelligence Connector will be enabled for your organization.

You can now manage Business Intelligence Connector settings that determine which data is delivered in your ETL.

For Redshift

Note: Redshift is not available for organizations on the EU silo or on Silo 101.

To enable Business Intelligence Connector for Redshift, click Configure beside Redshift.Redshift Business Intelligence Connector method with Configure button in marigold emphasis box

Use the toggle to enable Redshift.

Copy the Redshift credentials that appear. You'll use these to establish a connection with your data development tool.

Next, enter the IP addresses to allowlist access to your Business Intelligence Connector data.

When finished, click Save.

Business Intelligence Connector will be enabled for your organization.

Note: If you generate a new password for Redshift access, you won't be able to access your data until the next Business Intelligence Connector refresh. Data is refreshed every 24 hours. Learn more.

You can now manage Business Intelligence Connector settings that determine which data is delivered in your ETL.

Use Business Intelligence Connector

Once enabled, Business Intelligence Connector will deliver ETLs every evening with your most up-to-date data. You can use data development tools to perform complex analyses of your organization's processes.
