Greenhouse Recruiting Chrome extension for CRM

The Greenhouse Recruiting Chrome extension is a browser plugin that allows your organization to add prospects to your Greenhouse CRM from a website, resume, or manually through the plugin without leaving your current workflow.

Step 1: Locate duplicate prospects

When parsing information from AngelList, Github, Indeed, and LinkedIn, highlight the prospect's name or email address to check for duplicates within Greenhouse Recruiting. 

If a duplicate isn't found, click Prefill to add their information to the extension.

Now that you've checked for duplicates, continue with adding the prospect to the extension in step two.

Step 2: Add a prospect to the Greenhouse Recruiting Chrome extension

Add prospects to the Greenhouse Recruiting Chrome extension using the following methods:

Note: An email address is required if GDPR rules are enabled for your organization.

Add a prospect from AngelList

Navigate to the Source tab from your AngelList homepage.

Select a search option from the Starred tab or the All Searches tab. Alternatively, select New Search to create a query.

Click the Greenhouse button on the prospect's AngelList profile. Then, click Continue within the extension. The extension may advance to the next page automatically.

NoteThe Greenhouse button is unavailable if the prospect doesn't have a name on their profile. For example, some prospects elect to display their job title instead of their name.

The extension parses an available first name, last name, and company from AngelList. 

Now that the prospect is added, finish uploading their information to Greenhouse Recruiting.

Add a prospect from GitHub

Click Greenhouse Recruiting from the prospect's GitHub profile, then click Continue within the extension. The extension may advance to the next page automatically.

Now that the prospect is added, finish uploading their information to Greenhouse Recruiting.

Add a prospect from Indeed

Navigate to https://resumes.indeed.com/.

Use the search panel to find prospects. Then, use the filter panel to refine your search as needed.

Select a prospect from the search results to preview their profile.

Once selected, click their name to open their profile in a new tab.

Click the Greenhouse icon to add their information to the extension.

Now that the prospect is added, finish uploading their information to Greenhouse Recruiting.

Add a prospect from LinkedIn

You're able to save a LinkedIn profile as a PDF. Once exported, the PDF can be uploaded to the extension which will import data from the document.

Click More from the prospect's LinkedIn profile and select Save to PDF from the dropdown.

Note: Due to LinkedIn's download limits, you can only save 200 LinkedIn profiles as a PDF per month. Once this limit is reached the Save to PDF button is unavailable until a new month starts. As an alternative, use the LinkedIn RSC integration to add prospects to Greenhouse Recruiting. 

The extension automatically uploads and parses information from the PDF download, and attaches it as a resume to the extension.

Additional upload options include dragging and dropping the saved PDF into the extension or clicking Upload resume to manually import the PDF from your files.

Now that the prospect is added, finish uploading their information to Greenhouse Recruiting.

Add a prospect using their resume

A prospect can be added to the extension using their resume.

Drag and drop a resume into the extension or click Upload resume to manually import the document from your files.

Add a prospect manually

Manually enter the prospect's available information.

Once added, click Continue and finish uploading the prospect to Greenhouse Recruiting.

Step 3: Upload the prospect to Greenhouse Recruiting

Once step two is complete, the extension allows you to do a final check for duplicate profiles and fill in additional information prior to uploading the prospect's profile to Greenhouse Recruiting.

A warning appears if the prospect is a potential duplicate. Click View to open the existing prospect's profile in Greenhouse Recruiting.

Follow the steps below to upload your prospect to Greenhouse Recruiting:

  1. Click the pencil icon Screenshot of the pencil icon. to edit or add information. Then, click Done at the top of the page once the edits are complete.
  2. Select the applicable PoolSource, Recruiter, and Job
  3. Click Edit additional details to add information such as a coordinator, department, office, and more.
  4. After all the details are added, click Upload prospect at the bottom of the extension.

Once successfully uploaded, you have the option to view the prospect's profile in Greenhouse Recruiting from a new tab and/or return to the extension homepage by clicking Upload next prospect.

If you selected a prospect pool, the pool details are provided on the Prospect application. The profile also indicates that the prospect was created via the extension.
