Greenhouse Recruiting

Reject as security risk

Customers can now enable Security Risk rejection reasons in Greenhouse to quickly reject candidates who appear fraudulent or risky. When a candidate is rejected as a security risk, Greenhouse will automatically reject their future applications, helping teams keep known bad actors from re-entering the pipeline.

Site Admins can enable this feature under Configure > Custom Options > Rejection Reasons.

Configurable duplicate tagging

Site Admins can now choose which criteria Greenhouse uses to tag potential duplicate candidates, including name, email address, phone number, and LinkedIn URL. Settings are managed from Configure > Organization and apply to future records only. This update doesn’t change auto-merge behavior, and the Chrome extension will continue checking all four criteria.

Candidate availability in the scheduling interface

Recruiters can now access candidate availability more easily during scheduling in Greenhouse. A new “Candidate availability” button appears directly next to the candidate’s name in the scheduling flow, expanding inline to show submitted dates, time windows, and when the availability was received.

Time zone abbreviation updates

Greenhouse interview emails now show full time zone names with GMT offsets instead of abbreviations like “CST,” which can mean either China Standard Time or Central Standard Time. This helps candidates arrive at the correct interview time and removes the need for coordinators to manually edit time zones in confirmations and reminders.

Business Intelligence Connector scorecard timestamp update

The Business Intelligence Connector scorecards table now records created_at as the time a scorecard draft was created, instead of overwriting it with the submission time. The submitted_at field will continue to reflect when the scorecard was submitted.

Other changes

  • Interview Kits and Scorecards in Greenhouse now have a refreshed, more modern look that feels more consistent with the rest of the platform. This is a visual update only, so teams can continue using their existing workflows without any changes to functionality.
  • Organizations can now control how many candidates show on each page in Talent Matching.
