RapidVerify is a provider of real-time identity verification services, ensuring the hiring process is both secure and compliant.

RapidVerify's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting facilitates a seamless identity verification process for candidates, ensuring a candidate's identity is accurately verified before joining your organization. 

Set up the RapidVerify integration

Create a Harvest API key

To configure the RapidVerify integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.

Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the RapidVerify integration.

Credentials

In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: RapidVerify or Unlisted Vendor
  • Description: RapidVerify Harvest API Key

Permissions

Verify that the following permissions are selected for the RapidVerify integration:

Candidates

  • PATCH: Edit Candidate

Custom Fields

  • All permissions

Custom Field Options

  • All permissions

When finished, click Save.

Your Harvest API key for the Greenhouse Recruiting / RapidVerify integration is created and configured. Copy the API key to provide to RapidVerify in the next step.

Add your API credentials to RapidVerify

After generating the Harvest API key, you'll need to enter your credentials into RapidVerify.

To begin, navigate to RapidVerify and Log in.

From your dashboard, select Integrations and then, click Greenhouse Recruiting.

Once selected, enter the API key in the Integration Configuration panel.

Next, use the Candidate Trigger dropdown to select the identity verification trigger event:

  • Candidate has changed stage: Verify identity pre-hire
  • Candidate has been hired: Verification begins upon status change to hired

Note:If you opt for Candidate has changed stage, you'll also need to specify the stage that activates the identity verification process. Upon making this selection, a new dropdown will appear.

When finished, click Submit.

To complete integration setup, you'll need to set up a web hook in Greenhouse Recruiting. The Integration Configuration modal will stay open so you can copy the needed values into Greenhouse.

Create a web hook and complete setup

To finalize the configuration process, you’ll need to create a web hook. Follow the steps in this article to create your web hook. Use the values listed above to configure the web hook:

Candidate has changed stage web hook

  • Name: A descriptive name for your integration. Most customers choose ‘RapidVerify integration - Candidate has changed stage
  • When: Candidate has changed stage
  • Endpoint URL: Copy from Endpoint URL as shown below.
  • Secret Key: Copy from web hook Secret Key as shown below.

Candidate has been hired web hook

  • Name: A descriptive name for your integration. Most customers choose ‘RapidVerify integration - Candidate has been hired’
  • When: Candidate has been hired
  • Endpoint URL: The Endpoint URL provided by RapidVerify
  • Secret Key: The Secret Key provided by RapidVerify

Once done, the Greenhouse Recruiting/RapidVerify integration will be configured and ready for use. 

Use the RapidVerify integration with Greenhouse Recruiting

After setting up the integration, RapidVerify will email candidates as they progress or get hired, prompting them to begin the identity verification. Their verification status will then be updated in Greenhouse Recruiting under the custom field: Identity Verification Status.
