Resume Sieve (the Sieve) is a highly specialized resume screening solution that focuses on the screening, scoring, and rank ordering of candidates. Our proprietary technology substantially improves user productivity by rapidly comparing resumes against user-selected job requirements.
Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with the Sieve allows you to connect your Greenhouse Recruiting account with your Resume Sieve account to share data and reduce repetitive data entry. Once connected, you can import jobs and candidate resumes from Greenhouse Recruiting to your Resume Sieve account with a few simple clicks.

The job name and job responsibilities are imported from Greenhouse. Click the PopulateJob button and the job description will be parsed. You can also manually enter the job criteria.
If you opt for the job description to be parsed, any previously entered job criteria will be replaced. Click Proceed to parse the job description or Cancel to manually enter the job criteria.
Based on the parsed job description, a list of skills is displayed. Select the skills desired and whether each is required or preferred. When done, click Proceed.
The weighting of requirement can be reviewed and adjusted if necessary.
When you're satisfied that the job requirements have been sufficiently captured, click Save & Done.
Resumes
From the Resume screen click the Import button and select Greenhouse from the dropdown list.
A list of previously imported jobs is displayed. Select a job from the list and enter an optional name for the import group. Click the Import button.
Click the Refresh button to see the resume information populated on the screen. The Sieve imports from Greenhouse the candidate resumes associated with the selected job. Each imported resume is parsed and stored.
Imported resumes can be displayed and downloaded if required by clicking on the resume icon within the desired row.
If needed, an end-user can click on the Filter icon to identify a custom group of resumes from the resumes previously imported to Resume Sieve.
Using any combination of the available filters, the end-user can return from their resume inventory a list of matching resumes. Once satisfied with the filtered list, the end-user can select all or some of the resumes using the checkbox in the header row or individual checkboxes. Then click on the My Sieve button to jump to the My Sieve screen with the custom group of resumes already loaded.
The Sieve also allows the end-user to select one of the following groupings of imported resumes from the My Sieve screen:
Date Range
- Last 30 Days (select resumes loaded in the last 30 days)
- Last 60 Days
- Last 90 Days
- All Time (select all resumes)
- Custom Range (select resumes based on a from date and to date)
Import Group
- Lists available import groups. The end-user can select one or multiple import groups to include in the Sieve.
My Sieve
From the My Sieve screen select a job from the dropdown list.
Using the resume dropdown list, select the appropriate resumes to include in the sieve. The resumes can be selected by date range or by import groups.
One or more import groups may be selected, then click Apply.
When finished with your job and resume selections, click SieveNow.
The display of the Sieve evaluation results contains all evaluated resumes in their rank order and indicates whether the candidate meets all required criteria or does not meet all required criteria. This grouping emphasizes the importance of the must-have items in the job requisition.
The filter option on the My Sieve screen allows the end-user to display only candidates that met required criteria, candidates that did not meet required criteria, or all candidates.
The user can click on any row in the Sieve results and display Resume Detail screen.
