With the Pera Digital Interview a candidate only answers three open-ended questions. No games. No time pressure. The candidate simply expresses themselves in three short paragraphs. Pera analyzes the answers to assess candidates for a wide variety of jobs and soft skills.
Pera’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows you to seamlessly add Pera’s assessment to a job's interview plan.
Enable the Greenhouse Recruiting / Pera integration
Retrieve your API key from Pera.
In the Pera platform navigate to Settings → Integrations
Click “Add new integration”
Click Greenhouse in the drawer on the right hand side
Copy the “External Trigger Token” at the top of the form and store it somewhere safe and secure, you will need it in the next step.
Click “Connect”.
Once connected, the new integration will appear as in the image below:
Follow the steps in this article to add the assessment stage in your interview plans.
Once you’ve set up your interview plans and configured your take home test, you’ll be able to send the test to candidates.
Use the Pera integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Once the Pera integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the Pera assessment as an interview stage.
You can send an assessment to a candidate by selecting the Send Test button next to the interview stage. The assessment instructions will be sent by Pera.
To invite a candidate to take the Pera assessment, on a Pera interview stage, click “Send test to candidate”
A popup window will appear.
Confirm the details in the popup:
- To: the candidate's email address
- Test: which Pera Digital Interview the candidate should take
- Who should grade: a colleague to review the results
- When to send
Click “Send test”
Pera will send an email to the candidate inviting them to complete the Pera Digital Interview.
Note: you can also setup a Greenhouse stage transition rule to automate sending the Pera assessment

After it has been sent, an assessment’s status will display in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view the submitted test in the Pera application.
To see the candidate’s result in Pera click “Go to test”, an example of a Pera candidate report is shown below. The Pera assessment results can be configured to display a score in the range 0 - 100 or as a description, for example, “Excellent”.
