The 'Your next steps' email is a follow-up email sent from Greenhouse Onboarding to a new hire after they've been assigned an onboarding plan. In this email, new hires receive a summary of who their manager is and the tasks that need their attention.
By default, the 'Your next steps' email is delivered 30 days prior to a new hire's start date. However, you can configure the delivery schedule to suit your organization's onboarding flow.
Edit the delivery schedule for 'Your next steps'
From your Greenhouse Onboarding homepage, navigate to Settings > Onboarding Plan > Emails.
Scroll to Your next steps and click Edit default delivery.
Deliver on a new hire's start date
Send all 'Your next steps' emails to new hires on their start date.
Use the Send email to new hire dropdown to select On Start Date.
Click Save and Close when you're done.
Set a custom delivery schedule
Create a custom delivery schedule to send the 'Your next steps' email to new hires before or after their assigned start date.
Use the Send email to new hire dropdown to select Custom.
In the next two fields, enter the number of days relative to the start date and use the dropdown to select whether the email will be sent before or after a new hire's start date.
When you're finished, click Save and Close.
