Walton

Walton helps organizations turn HR, Payroll, and Tax departments into profit centers. Greenhouse Recruiting and Walton have created an integration that allows your organization to easily add a Walton WOTC Questionnaire to a job's interview pipeline. In this article, we will cover how to:

 

Enable Greenhouse Recruiting/Walton Integration 

To start, contact your Walton representative to receive your API key. Once you have received your API key, email support@greenhouse.io or click here to open a ticket.

Note: Do not send the API key in this initial email.

The Greenhouse Support Team will respond with a SendSafely link for you to enter your API key. A notification will be sent to the Greenhouse Support Team after you have entered your API key and they will email you to confirm that your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.

 

Add Walton Stage to Job's Interview Plan

Once the Greenhouse/Walton integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the Walton assessment as an Interview stage.

To do this for an existing job, navigate to a job (All Jobs>Job Name) and click Job Setup from the Job navigation bar.

From the Job Setup page, navigate to Interview Plan on the left-hand panel. Scroll down the page and click + Add a Stage.

From the Add Stage dialog box, select the Walton stage. When finished, click Add to apply the stage to the job's interview plan.

 

Configure Walton Stage 

Once the stage has been added to the job's interview plan, click Edit. Use the provided drop-down menu to choose assessments that you have previously set up in Walton.

Select the appropriate assessment and assign at least one Greenhouse user to grade/review submitted assessments. When finished, click Save.

Note: Keep in the mind that all configuration of the assessment itself, as well as the email template, will need to be done in Walton.

 

Send and Review Test

When candidates are moved into the Walton interview stage, Greenhouse will display a Send Test link.

Note: When you send a test from Greenhouse, the interview instructions are actually sent by Walton.

 The status of the assessment will be viewable in Greenhouse:

Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view the submitted test in Walton.

 

 

 

Create Web Hook

The Candidate-hired web hook integration can be used in conjunction with the Assessment API integration to provide a second opportunity for candidates to complete the WOTC Questionnaire if they didn’t already do so, improving WOTC compliance for your organization. Before you begin, contact Walton Client Services for the following data points necessary to create a web hook:

  • Endpoint URL
  • Secret Key

With both data points retrieved, click the Configure icon configure.png in the upper right-hand corner and select Dev Center on the left-hand panel.

Click Web Hooks > Web Hooks

From the Create a New Web Hook page, fill in the following details:

  • Name this web hook: we suggest SendOQWhenHired.
  • When: Select Candidate has been hired so that the web hook fires off at the appropriate event in Greenhouse.
  • Secret key: information received from Walton
  • Endpoint URL: information received from Walton

Click Update Web Hook when finished.

Walton will receive information regarding the newly-hired candidate and will send an email to the candidate with a link to the Walton WOTC Questionnaire. The wording of the email is completely customizable within Walton’s client configuration. The link is unique to the candidate and will pre-populate the WOTC Questionnaire with any information already provided to Greenhouse by the candidate.
