Custom application questions allow your organization to collect information from candidates when they are applying to a job. Candidate responses to custom application questions can subsequently be viewed and configured for reporting purposes.
Every custom application question can be configured to meet varying privacy concern your organization may have. Custom application questions can be configured with one of the following privacy settings:
- API only
In this article, we will provide an overview of private custom application question and how to add a private custom application question to an existing job post.
Private custom application questions overview
Candidate responses to private custom application questions can be viewed only by:
- Site Admins with the user-specific permission Can see private notes, salary info, manage offers, and approve jobs/offers, or
- Job Admins with the permission stripe Can view and edit private candidate and application fields
Users without the noted permissions see the question on a candidate's profile, but cannot view the candidate's response.
Note: Private custom application questions are not included in a candidate export from the All Candidates tab, but are included in data pushes to your Business Intelligence Connector.
Add private custom application auestion
To add a private custom application question to an existing job post, click All Jobs from the navigation bar and select a job from the subsequent list.
Click Job Setup and navigate to Job Posts on the left panel.
Navigate to a job post and click the Edit icon next to the job post name.
Navigate to Custom Application Questions and click Add Custom Question.
From the subsequent dialog box, input the necessary information for the custom application question. Select Private from the Privacy section.
Click Add when finished.
The private custom application question is added to list. Navigate down the Edit Your Job Post page and click Save to confirm the change.
