Eqo Refer integration

Eqo is a solution that helps you increase your frontline employee engagement with your referral program by allowing them to refer someone through text in 15 seconds, while eliminating manual tracking from an admin side through automation.

Eqo’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows employees to see all your organization’s open jobs through text, and triggers automation workflows when a referred candidate gets hired.

Overview

To configure the Eqo integration, you will need to:

  • Create an Eqo user account in Greenhouse
  • Create a new Source
  • Provide a Job Board API Key
  • Provide a Harvest API Key

Create an Eqo User Account in Greenhouse

To set up the Eqo integration, you'll need to create a Site Admin user for the Eqo account. Follow the steps in this article to create a new user, and use the following email and permissions when setting up the account:

  • Email: app+YOURCOMPANYNAME@eqorefer.com (check primary)
  • Permissions: Site Admin, with the additional permission to 'Create and view private candidates and prospects'

Create a custom source for the Eqo integration

To know what candidates are sent through the Eqo integration, you'll need to create a custom source. Follow the steps in this article to create a new source under Configure > Custom Options > Sources, and choose Referral at the top of the page.

Create a new custom source using the following information:

  • Sourcing Strategy: Other
  • Name of Source: Employee Referral using Eqo

Create a Job Board API Key

Follow the steps in this article to create a custom job board API key and use the following information:

  • API Type: Job Boards
  • Partner: Type and select “Eqo”. If you can’t find Eqo, choose “Unlisted Vendor”
  • Description: Eqo Integration

Create a Harvest API Key

To configure the Eqo integration, you’ll need to create a Job Board API key for Eqo. Follow the steps in this article and use the following information when creating your key:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: Type and select “Eqo”. If you can’t find Eqo, choose “Unlisted Vendor”
  • Description: Eqo Integration

Verify that the following permissions are selected for the Eqo integration:

  • Applications
    • PATCH: Update Application
    • GET: Retrieve Application
    • GET: List Applications
  • Candidates:
    • GET: List Candidates
    • GET: Retrieve Candidate
    • POST: Add Prospect
  • Departments:
    • GET: List Departments
  • Job Stages:
    • GET: List Job Stages for Job
    • GET: List Job Stages
  • Sources:
    • GET: List Sources
  • Offers:
    • GET: List Application’s Offers
  • Offices:
    • GET: List Offices

Use the Eqo integration with Greenhouse Recruiting

Eqo will handle the Greenhouse Recruiting-Eqo integration once the above API Keys have been generated and submitted to the Eqo team. With the Greenhouse-Eqo integration:

1) Your externally-listed open jobs will automatically be listed on Eqo for employees to view and easily refer someone to

2) Employees will get visibility into their referrals’ statuses

3) On the Admin Dashboard, once hired, referrals will automatically be marked as hired and payouts will automatically be created

Logs

For monitoring, any data in Greenhouse added or edited by Eqo’s application will be done by the user created app+YOURCOMPANYNAME@eqorefer.com
