Greenhouse Recruiting's structured education fields allows your organization to capture a candidate's relevant education history in a uniform format. By capturing a candidate's education history in a structured format, your organization can more effectively search your candidate database.

Greenhouse Recruiting's structured education fields are comprised of the following data:

School name Start year End year
Degree Start month End month
Discipline    

Configure structured education fields

Structured education fields are configured on a per-job post basis. This granularity allows your organization to customize what education data is required, optional, or hidden for each job post. For more information on how to configure structured education fields on a job posts, click here.

Default and custom options for school name, degree, and discipline

For your convenience, Greenhouse Recruiting provides default options for school name, degree, and discipline. While we've tried to provide a large array of options, the default lists are by no means exhaustive. Each of these fields are single-select and can hold a maximum of 5000 values.

Users with the appropriate permissions can append or edit existing entries on these structured education fields. For more information, see:

Once a candidate or prospect submits their information to your organization, their structured education data can be viewed on the Details tab on the candidate's or prospect's profile.

Users with the appropriate permissions can also edit any of the structured education fields on a candidate's profile. For more information, see edit candidate's structured education fields .

Search by candidate structured education fields

A powerful reason to capture a candidate's education history in a structured format is to enable more efficient searching of your candidate database. Click the Candidates tab on your navigation bar and expand the Education filter panel on the left-hand side.

Use the provided fields to search your candidate database by different education criteria.
