Assign Job-Based Permission on Future Jobs

Note: On October 21, 2021, we began deprecating the Interviewer permission level as the final step in our simplified interviewing permissions update. If you do not see the Interviewer permission level available in Greenhouse Recruiting, your organization’s account has been updated already, and references in this article to the Interviewer permission level are no longer applicable. 

Job-based permissions on future jobs can be assigned to users automatically. In this article, we will cover how to: 

 

Assign Job-Based Permission for All Future Jobs

To assign a user a job-based permission for all future jobs, navigate to the Configure icon Configure.png in the upper right-hand corner, then click Users in the left-hand panel.

Click the name of the user to whom you wish to assign future permissions. In the Permissions panel, locate the Job-Based Permissions section and click Add.

Note: To assign job-based permissions to a user, the user must be configured as a Job Admin / Interviewer user type.

Locate the Future Jobs panel at the top of the page, then click the pencil icon to edit.

A dropdown menu will appear beneath the Permission heading. Click the dropdown and select the permission level you wish to assign to the user for all future jobs. Click Save when finished.

Return to the user's main permissions page to confirm the future job-based permission was assigned as intended.

Assign Job-Based Permission for Future Jobs in a Specified Office or Department

To assign a user a job-based permission for future jobs in a specified office or department, navigate to the Configure icon Configure.png in the upper right-hand corner, then click Users in the left-hand panel.

Click the name of the user to whom you wish to assign future permissions. In the Permissions panel, locate the Job-Based Permissions section and click Add.

Use the All Offices and/or All Departments filter to specify the offices/departments for which you wish to assign the user future permissions.

Once you have selected the office/department, review the Future Jobs panel to confirm you chose the intended selections. Click the pencil icon to edit the user's future job-based permissions for the office office/department selected.

A dropdown menu will appear beneath the Permission heading. Click the dropdown and select the permission level you wish to assign to the user for future jobs in the selected office/department. Click Save when finished.

Return to the user's main permissions page to confirm the future job-based permission was assigned as intended.
