The Apply Connect integration provides a fast and seamless experience for Greenhouse customers posting jobs to LinkedIn. Jobs created in Greenhouse Recruiting are posted to LinkedIn in real time, and with the LinkedIn Easy Apply feature, job seekers can apply for your jobs without leaving LinkedIn.

With LinkedIn Recruiter seats, you can see candidate highlights in Greenhouse Recruiting with real-time views of LinkedIn profiles and how they match your job posts, enabling your teams to make more informed choices. You can also use candidate notification to improve the candidate experience.

Tip: All Greenhouse Recruiting users can access Apply Connect at no additional cost and can post free job posts to LinkedIn and receive applicants via LinkedIn Easy Apply. However, additional features like applicant notifications, in-app LinkedIn profiles, and internal job posts require a LinkedIn Recruiter subscription.

Set up LinkedIn Apply Connect

Existing LinkedIn Recruiter customers can add LinkedIn Apply Connect as part of their LinkedIn Recruiter package. Apply Connect enablement is done solely within Greenhouse Recruiting. Once Apply Connect is enabled, you do not need to take any additional steps within LinkedIn Recruiter.

As part of this setup, you'll need to integrate your job board with LinkedIn.

Update your LinkedIn Recruiter package to use Apply Connect

Note: Updating the LinkedIn integration is only required if your organization currently uses LinkedIn Recruiter. Customers who don't use LinkedIn Recruiter can still use Apply Connect, but just need to add it to their job board to finish setup.

To use advanced features available with Linkedin Recruiter, you need to enable the integration for your organization. In Greenhouse Recruiting, navigate to the Integrations page, locate LinkedIn, and sign into your LinkedIn Admin account.

When you choose a package, select the Apply Package box.

Once you click Save changes, LinkedIn Apply Connect will be available in your account. Any existing LinkedIn Recruiter submissions will automatically use the new Apply Connect integration. However, if you haven't integrated LinkedIn with your job board, follow the steps below to finish the setup.

Add LinkedIn Apply Connect to your job board

Note: You need to be a Site Admin to enable this integration.

Whether or not you use LinkedIn Recruiter, you'll need integrate LinkedIn Apply Connect with your job board and enter your company URL to finish setup.

To update your job board, navigate to a job board and click Edit Board Settings.

Scroll to Turn on LinkedIn Apply Connect, complete the fields, and click Save.

Note: You can retrieve your organization's public URL by searching for your company on LinkedIn and viewing your main company page.

After setup, LinkedIn Apply Connect will update the settings in Greenhouse Recruiting:

  • The job board's live job posts with valid job locations will be sent to LinkedIn. Because LinkedIn requires job locations for free job posts, any job posts without locations will not be shared.
  • Candidate information will be synced with the new connection. While candidates are being synced, existing LinkedIn profiles may not be available.

If the candidate information doesn't sync within 24 hours, contact LinkedIn Support.

Create free job posts

With Apply Connect set up on a job board, you can share a new job for free on LinkedIn when creating or editing a job post.

Notes:

  • All free job posts require a job location to use LinkedIn Easy Apply. If you don't add a location, you won't be able to select the Easy Apply option. Learn more about free job posts on Greenhouse Recruiting.
  • Easy Apply via Apply Connect integration does not currently support the Applicant Location application question. To activate Easy Apply for jobs on LinkedIn, these fields must be marked as optional.

Posting status

When you're using the Apply Connect integration, a job's Posting Status will be available on the Job Posts page in the job dashboard.

Jobs can be Posted, Pending, Inactive, Failed, or Not Listed, based on whether the job is synced and displayed on LinkedIn. A full list of errors is available on LinkedIn's help site.

View LinkedIn profiles in Greenhouse Recruiting

With Apply Connect enabled for your LinkedIn Recruiter contract, people with Recruiter seats can view applicants' LinkedIn profiles on their Greenhouse Recruiting candidate profiles under the LinkedIn tab on their candidate profile.

Send notifications to applicants

With Apply Connect enabled for your LinkedIn Recruiter contract, your organization can opt to send candidate notifications to applicants from LinkedIn:

  • Application submitted
  • Application viewed
  • Resume downloaded
  • Application rejected
