Note: If you're trying to send emails on behalf of another person but don't see their name as an option in the From dropdown, send this article to them so they can grant you access.
Sourcing Automation users can send campaign pool emails on behalf of other users in your organization or on behalf of an email alias. You'll need to set up the correct permissions to send emails on behalf of another user or an email alias.
Allow users to send step emails on your behalf
You'll need to grant access to other Sourcing Automation users for them to send campaign step emails on your behalf. Follow the steps below to set up this permission:
Confirm your Sourcing Automation setup
Confirm that you've been granted a Sourcing Automation seat and that your email is authenticated. Users can only send emails on behalf of other authenticated seat members.
Grant access to send emails on your behalf
Next, specify which users should have access to send emails on your behalf.
Click your initials in the top-right corner of your Greenhouse Recruiting dashboard and select Account Settings from the dropdown.
Navigate to Personal Settings, then scroll to the Email Permissions section.
Select one of the following permissions:
- Allow anyone with job or site admin permissions to send emails from my address
- Allow only specific people to send emails from my address
If you limit permission to specific users, select their names from the dropdown menu. Users granted permission to send emails from your address will appear below the dropdown field.
Your changes will be saved automatically.
Once you've granted permission to send emails on your behalf, your email will appear in the From dropdown any time an authorized user configures senders for a campaign pool step.
Remove a user's permission to send on your behalf
You can also remove access for users who you've previously granted permission to send on your behalf.
Navigate back to Account Settings > Personal Settings and scroll to the Email Permissions section.
Hover over the user's name and click Remove.
Your changes will be saved automatically.
Send on behalf of an email alias
Sourcing Automation users also have the option to send campaign step emails on behalf of an email alias.
In order to use this feature, a Sourcing Automation admin will need to turn on the correct permission policy. In addition, your email alias will have to meet specific requirements to work with Sourcing Automation.
