Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with Velocity Global allows users to streamline and orchestrate the hiring and onboarding processes.
Create a Harvest API key for the Greenhouse Recruiting / Velocity Global integration
To configure the Greenhouse Recruiting / Velocity Global integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.
Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the Velocity Global integration.
Credentials
In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:
- API Type: Harvest
- Partner: Velocity Global (Optional)
- Description: Velocity Global Integration Harvest API Key
Permissions
Verify that the following permissions are selected for the Velocity Global integration:
Applications
- All permissions
Approvals
- All permissions
Candidates
- All permissions
Custom Fields
- All permissions
Jobs
- All permissions
Job Posts
- All permissions
Offers
- All permissions
Users
- All permissions
Click Save.
Greenhouse Recruiting will generate the API key and display it in a subsequent dialog box. Click Copyto save your API key to your clipboard. Please store the API key in a secure location for now. You will provide the API key to your Velocity Global Client Account Manager for further setup within Velocity Global’s software.
Once the API key is stored securely on your local computer, click I have stored the API Key to close the dialog box.
Note: You cannot access the full API key again after clicking I have stored the API Key. If you lose your API key and need to access it later, you must create a new API key, provide it to the integration partner, and then revoke access to the original key.
Create new custom offer field
Please connect with the Velocity Global Sales Solutions team before completing this section. They will provide details on the fields you need to create.
To create a custom offer field, click the Configure icon on your navigation bar. From the Configure page, click Custom Options on the left. Next, select Offers.
From the Custom Fields: Offers page, click Add Field to create a custom offer field.
In the dialog box that appears, configure the new offer field. Provide a Field Name and Type, then configure who should see the field.
When you have finished customizing your application field, click Save.

Create a webhook
Next, you’ll need to create a webhook. Follow the steps in this article to create your webhook. Use the values listed below to configure the webhook:
- Name: Velocity Global integration
- When: Offer Created
- Endpoint URL: The Endpoint URL provided by Velocity Global
- Secret Key: The Secret Key provided by Velocity Global
- Error recipient email: [leave blank]
- Disabled?: No

Use the Velocity Global integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
The Velocity Global Sales Solutions team will assist you in setting up and configuring the integration.
After completing the setup, the data will flow and sync between the two systems automatically.
- The integration uses Greenhouse Recruiting's webhook capability to trigger the data from your Greenhouse Recruiting platform into Velocity Global once a new offer is created or approved, depending on your webhook configuration.
- Velocity Global’s Sales Engineering team will work closely with you to ensure your Greenhouse Recruiting application is configured with the necessary fields for this integration to run smoothly. This may involve creating new custom fields.
- On the Offer, you will create a new “Velocity Global Sync” custom field to indicate the candidate is assigned for Velocity Global integration.
- The integration will only run for candidates marked for Velocity Global syncing.
- The candidate's data will be synced with the Velocity Global cloud-based software automatically, preventing any manual data errors.
- In addition, the integration will trigger the onboarding process in Velocity Global.
- Notification emails will be sent to your team and Velocity Global account managers based on the user's notifications preferences. These emails will be sent by Velocity Global, not Greenhouse Recruiting.
