The Site Admin user permission level has the highest level of access, with the ability to make changes that impact your entire company's Greenhouse Recruiting configuration. However, even Site Admin users do not automatically have access to all data in Greenhouse Recruiting.

Each user account is assigned a user permission level (Basic, Job Admin, and Site Admin), which is a blanket set of access applied to their whole account. These permissions are required for each user account.

However, user-specific permissions are optional assignments that give the users access to specific information.

If you can't see a certain candidate or piece of data as a Site Admin, it's likely that you haven't been assigned the user-specific permission.

  • If you aren't able to access certain candidates as a Site Admin, you might not have the user-specific permission Can create and view private candidates.
  • If you can't view certain data on candidate profiles (such as the Private tab) you might not have the user-specific permission Can see private notes, salary info, manage offers, request approval, and approve jobs/offers.

You can check the permissions assigned to your account by following the steps here.

Note: You aren't able to edit your own permissions. If you require an update of your permissions, you'll need to reach out to your In-House Contacts and have them make the change.
