Why am I unable to locate a user in the system when it says they already exist?

If you encounter an error that a user is already registered when you attempt to create a new user, or if you cannot locate a user account in your system that should exist, we recommend double-checking if any filters are applied to the All Users page that might remove that user from your search results.

For example, if the All Users filter is set to Active Users only, user accounts that are deactivated will not be returned in your search.
