Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with JobVyne allows your company to automate employee referrals.

Employees can easily share new job openings to their social networks so referrals are automatically tracked, saving your company the headache of manually tracking them when using the JobVyne integration.

In this article, we will provide an overview on how to integrate JobVyne with Greenhouse Recruiting:

Create a Harvest API key for the JobVyne integration

To configure the Greenhouse Recruiting / JobVyne integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.

Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the JobVyne integration.


In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: JobVyne (optional)
  • Description: JobVyne Harvest API Key


Verify that the following permissions are selected for the JobVyne integration:


  • GET: Retrieve Application
  • GET: List Applications
  • POST: Add Attachment to Application


  • GET: Retrieve Candidate
  • GET: List Candidates
  • POST: Add Candidate
  • POST: Add Note
  • POST: Add Attachment
  • POST: Add Application
  • POST: Add Prospect


  • GET: Retrieve User
  • GET: List Users


  • GET: Retrieve Job

Use the JobVyne and Greenhouse Recruiting integration 

Set up JobVyne user in Greenhouse Recruiting

All candidates submitted from JobVyne to Greenhouse Recruiting must have a "referrer" user so candidates. We recommend creating this referral user account as a Site Admin permission level to ensure new candidates can be created across all your jobs. 

To create a new Greenhouse user account, navigate to Greenhouse Recruiting and click Configure. 

Select Users from the listed tabs. 

Click +New Users.

On the Add New Users page, enter the referrer user email and assign the Site Admin user permission level. 


Note: We recommend configuring the referrer email structure as "” but any email address registered to a valid inbox will work for the integration.

Click Save and an invitation email will be sent out to the new user account to complete registration. 

Finish integration setup in JobVyne

To enable the Greenhouse Recruiting integration in JobVyne, navigate to JobVyne and select Employer from the listed View Mode options.  

From the sidebar menu, select Settings and click the Integrations tab.

On the Settings tab, enter the following selections:

Click Save. 

After saving your credentials, you will be prompted to enter additional fields to complete the JobVyne integration setup. 

Enter the field your company uses to capture the employment type for jobs. The default field in Greenhouse Recruiting for this information is Employment Type. 

Select the field your company uses to capture the salary range for jobs. 

Next, select the initial candidate stage that applicants should be placed in when they apply for a job and Save.

To test if the integration setup is successful, click Test Connection.

If the integration is working properly, a "Connection successful" message will appear as confirmation.
