Pequity is an all-in-one compensation platform that automates HR workflows from offers to promotions & transfers - so companies save time, money and talent.
Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with Pequity allows your team to seamlessly flow between Pequity and Greenhouse when creating approvals in Pequity – writing back Pequity-approved offer details to Greenhouse.

Configuring the Greenhouse integration in Pequity Approvals
Pequity Approvals streamlines off-cycle compensation requests (offers, promotions, transfers) by replacing email and Slack back-and-forth with automated workflows. It speeds up approvals, ensures fair, data-driven decisions, and keeps HR, managers, and recruiters aligned. The following steps outline how to connect to Greenhouse
Note: You’ll need to have Admin level access in Pequity to be able to modify Approval integration settings.
Navigate to Approvals > Settings > Greenhouse integration
Activate the Greenhouse Integration by selecting the toggle. This will expand the full list of configuration settings.
Enter the Greenhouse Harvest API Key you previously created and stored via Greenhouse.
Greenhouse requires a user ID to write offer data back into Greenhouse (on behalf of). We recommend creating an admin-level Pequity user with full access to ensure all data is written successfully. Please note: if the user ID lacks access to specific candidates, those details cannot be written back.
Add the subdomain from your Greenhouse URL. This ensures the app and email links to Greenhouse applications redirect to the correct domain.
Select your custom field sync settings. These syncs occur nightly.
- Default visibility: automatically add and show new custom fields in Pequity when they are created in Greenhouse
- Delete Stale Fields: automatically delete fields in Pequity when they are deleted in Greenhouse
- Delete Stale Dependencies: automatically delete dependencies (eg. show field B when option Y is selected in field A) when they are deleted in Greenhouse
If you don’t use the standard Office and Department fields in Greenhouse, specify which custom offer fields should take their place to structure dependencies.
Choose whether to send the list of final approvers in Pequity to a custom offer field in Greenhouse.
You’re connected! Don’t forget to save changes before continuing to the next steps.
Pulling Greenhouse custom fields into Pequity
Now that Greenhouse is connected to Pequity, you can sync all custom fields with a single click. Go to Approvals > Settings > Custom Fields and click Sync with Greenhouse in the top right. This will import all Greenhouse custom fields, keeping their name keys, dependencies, and list options aligned in Pequity.
Successfully synced fields will show a green sync icon.
From there, you can re-arrange and group the Greenhouse custom fields.
Note that the custom field type (and list options, where applicable) must match between Greenhouse and Pequity; otherwise, they cannot be written back upon full approval.
Use the Pequity integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Greenhouse Chrome Extension
Now that you have your Harvest API key and Integration set up, you’ll need the Chrome extension that enables recruiters to start their offer creation in Greenhouse, seamlessly transitioning into Pequity. It can be downloaded here.
Importantly, the Chrome extension only works if all offer fields in Greenhouse are set to not required. Pequity fields then serve as the source of truth for recruiters and will be configured as required or optional as needed.
Other configurations
- Create custom comp tables to give recruiters real-time visibility into pay bands and peer medians.
- Add ranges and job architecture for reference in Approvals
- Add users and permissions
- Configuring approval chains that automatically trigger based on Approval details
From there, your team is ready to create offers, approve offers, and have all details written back to Greenhouse upon full offer approval.
