Puck's AI Interviews integration helps you screen candidates faster at the top of the funnel, and save your team's time for where it really counts. Puck's AI Interviews use AI agents top of the funnel to ask candidates key questions, via phone. This audio approach streamlines the candidate experience, and maximizes the completion rate and minimizes unwanted drop off. With the answers going back to your team, your team stays in the driver seat of decision making. This approach also stays on the right side of compliance and legal.
Puck’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows you to seamlessly add Puck’s assessment to a job's interview plan.
Configure the Puck AI Interviews integration
The Puck AI Interviews integration has two parts: a Harvest API connection and the Puck assessment, a stage added to your interview plans.
Connect Puck to Greenhouse with Harvest v3
Log in to Puck and navigate to Settings > ATS Set Up.
Click Connect Greenhouse. If your organization already used an earlier Greenhouse connection with Puck, the button reads Switch to Greenhouse v3.
You'll be redirected to Greenhouse. Sign in with your Greenhouse admin email and follow the prompts to authorize Puck.
When you return to Puck, refresh the page. The ATS Set Up page will show Greenhouse v3 as connected.
Add the Puck assessment to your interview plans
Follow the steps in this article to enable the Puck assessment using the API key provided by your Puck representative, then work with Greenhouse support to enable the stage and add the Puck AI Interview stage to the interview plan for each job where you want to use it.
Fields Puck writes to Greenhouse
Puck creates or updates the following in Greenhouse through Harvest v3:
- Application stage: moves an application to the next interview stage.
- Application rejection: rejection reason and notes, plus the rejection email template, send time, and sender when a rejection email is chosen.
- New prospects: first name, last name, email address, phone number, and LinkedIn URL.
- Email notes: logs emails sent from Puck to the candidate's activity feed (subject, body, sender, and recipients).
- AI Interview notes: posts the AI Interview score, reviewer name, and review notes to the candidate's activity feed.
Use the Puck AI Interviews integration
Send an AI Interview to a candidate
Once a candidate reaches the Puck AI Interview stage, click Send Test next to the stage on the candidate's profile. Puck sends the candidate an invitation with instructions for completing the interview from their phone.
After the interview is sent, its status displays on the candidate's profile in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Review a completed AI Interview
When the candidate completes the interview, the interview kit contains a link to their responses in Puck. Click Go to test to listen to the candidate's answers and review the summary.
Puck's AI scores each interview against the criteria your team sets and explains the reasoning behind each rating. Your team can change any rating and add their own score and notes. Puck never auto-rejects candidates, and hiring decisions stay with your team.
