Mitratech AssureHire integration

Mitratech AssureHire provides comprehensive background screening packages to help organizations evaluate candidates.

AssureHire’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to assign specific background check packages to jobs and automatically trigger background screening reports when a candidate's status changes.

Configure the AssureHire integration

Before beginning, ensure you are either a Site Admin or a Job Admin with the Can manage custom fields permission in Greenhouse Recruiting.

Create custom candidate and job fields

Navigate to Configure > Custom Options in Greenhouse Recruiting to add custom fields. You must create two fields using the exact specifications below:

Jobs Background Report Background Report URL Field Add your organization's available background screening packages into the Options field, entering one package per line.

Create a webhook

To integrate Mitratech AssureHire with Greenhouse Recruiting, you’ll need to create a webhook. Follow the steps in this article to create your webhook. Use the values listed below to configure the webhook:

  • Name: A descriptive name for your integration. Most customers choose ‘AssureHire integration’
  • When: Candidate has changed
  • Endpoint URL: The Endpoint URL provided by Mitratech AssureHire
  • Secret Key: The Secret Key provided by Mitratech AssureHire
  • Basic Authorization Password: The Secret Key provided by Mitratech AssureHire

Authorize the integration

Navigate to assurehire.com/settings/integrations.

Click Activate Greenhouse V3 Integration.

Enter your Greenhouse credentials and click Authorize.

Confirm you see the success message: Greenhouse V3 integration activated successfully!

Use the AssureHire integration

  • Submit background check order: When candidates are moved into the Offer stage, a background check order will automatically trigger from AssureHire. If a candidate is not in an Offer stage, the background check order has not been initiated yet.
  • Track status of background check order: Once you've moved the candidate into the Offer stage, the background check is automatically ordered. You can track the status of the background check by clicking the Activity Feed on the candidate profile in Greenhouse Recruiting. To view the status of a background check, click the link in the Activity Feed note from AssureHire.

  • View final background check report: Once a background check report is completed, AssureHire will send you an email notification with a link to click on the final report. AssureHire also posts a status update in the candidate's Activity Feed with a link that when clicked will allow you to view the final background check report as well. The completed background check report is also attached to the candidate's Details tab in Greenhouse Recruiting. Click the AssureHire URL below Background Report to view the final report in AssureHire.
