Coderbyte is a technical assessment platform for screening, interviewing, and evaluating technical candidates.
Coderbyte's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to automate assessment workflows between Greenhouse Recruiting and Coderbyte. For example, Coderbyte can automatically send an assessment invite when a candidate is moved to a configured stage in Greenhouse Recruiting. When the candidate completes the assessment, Coderbyte can post a note and tag to the candidate profile in Greenhouse Recruiting, and optionally move the candidate to another stage.
Configure the Coderbyte integration
Prior to enabling the Coderbyte integration in Greenhouse Recruiting, you'll need to complete the following steps:
- Enable the API add-on in your Coderbyte account
After configuring the above, you'll be able to proceed with integration setup.
You'll be redirected to Greenhouse Recruiting.
Review the requested permissions.
Select the "Authorize using a service account" checkbox before proceeding.
Click Authorize to grant Coderbyte access to Greenhouse Recruiting.
After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Coderbyte.
Confirm that Greenhouse Recruiting appears as connected in Coderbyte:
Create a webhook
To leverage the full capability of Coderbyte with Greenhouse Recruiting, you'll need to create a webhook.
After Greenhouse Recruiting is connected in Coderbyte, Coderbyte will display webhook setup details, including an Endpoint URL and Secret Key.
Follow the steps in this article to create your webhook in Greenhouse, then enter the following webhook details:
Name: Coderbyte integration
When: Candidate has changed stage
Endpoint URL: The Endpoint URL provided in Coderbyte
Secret Key: The Secret Key provided in Coderbyte
Click Create Web hook.
Go back to Coderbyte, select I created the webhook in Greenhouse and click Continue.
After the webhook is saved, Coderbyte can listen for candidate stage changes and trigger the workflows configured in your Coderbyte account.
Use the Coderbyte integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
You can navigate to the Workflows page in Coderbyte to configure your recruiting automation.
You can now create Workflows that automatically send assessment invites or move candidates to the next stage after a successful interview.
