This feature is currently in beta and may not be available to your organization.
Greenhouse identity verification helps your team focus on real, qualified candidates by reducing the risk of impersonation, duplicate profiles, and other forms of fraud. Identity verification works in tandem with our partner, CLEAR, to cross-check the information submitted to CLEAR against the candidate’s application.
Enabling CLEAR identity verification requests across your organization
To set up or manage your settings for all Real Talent features, navigate to the Real Talent page and select the Fraud tab. (Configure > Real Talent > Fraud)
Click Edit and follow the instructions on the screen to enable identity verification. Then, choose the offices and departments that are eligible for verifications.
Tip: When implementing identity verification for the first time, begin with a small group of users in a specific office or department to test your settings and workflows before expanding access across the organization.
Update permissions
All Site Admins can send and view identity verification requests.
Additionally, job admins can be given permission to update CLEAR verification requests. You can update a job admin level to add the following permissions to any Job Admin level:
- Can view identity verification requests: Can view the results of an identity verification request
- Can request identity verification details: Can initiate an identity verification request
GDPR compliance
If your organization is subject to GDPR, you can manage compliance through your data retention and candidate packet settings.
To manage the deletion of data, you can add or update a data retention rule and select identity verification under the Real Talent section. Click Save to update the rule.
To support candidate data access requests, identity verification can be added to candidate packets.
