Starting July 21, 2025, we’ll automatically enable Job Alerts on your job board, giving candidates a simple way to keep up with your open roles and helping you build a stronger, more engaged talent pool.

Overview

Job alerts make it easy for job seekers to stay informed about new opportunities at your organization without requiring extra work from your team. Turning on job alerts helps you:

  • Keep qualified candidates engaged: When new roles are posted, interested job seekers will automatically be notified, encouraging them to re-engage with your open positions and be one of the first to apply.
  • Build your pipeline, effortlessly: Even passive job seekers can opt-in to receive updates, keeping your organization top of mind when you post new job openings.
  • Improve the candidate experience: Giving job seekers a way to stay informed helps reduce missed opportunities, creates a more positive experience and connects them to the roles they want.
  • Set it and forget it: No additional configuration or management is required on your end. Once enabled, job seekers can start signing up for alerts immediately, directly from your job board.

How job alerts work

If you host your job board on Greenhouse, we'll add a “Create job alert” button inviting candidates to create a job alert for your organization's new roles.

In addition, we'll add a button to the bottom of your job post. This is available for all Greenhouse customers, not only those on Greenhouse-hosted boards.

When a candidate selects "create job alert", they’ll sign in and choose which job titles they would like to receive notifications about. If a candidate doesn’t have a MyGreenhouse account, we’ll prompt them to create one once they enter their email address.

When you publish new jobs, job seekers with job alerts for those roles will automatically receive email notifications and see new job alerts in their MyGreenhouse account. Job seekers can change, cancel or delete their job alerts or MyGreenhouse account at any time.

You're always in control

We’re rolling out this feature automatically so you can start benefiting right away. You can manage your organization’s job alert settings in Configure > Candidate portal. If you prefer not to enable job alerts on July 21, 2025, you can opt-out here.
