Parsetalent's Integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Parsetalent’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to source, access, engage, and track candidates from both platforms effortlessly. With our CV parser, JD parser, and candidate matching features, recruiters can quickly add candidates, evaluate them based on structured data, and determine the best fit or mismatch—all within the extension. This results in a more efficient, accurate, and streamlined recruitment process.
Configure the Parsetalent for Greenhouse Chrome extension
Follow this link to download the Parsetalent extension. To set up this integration, you'll need integrations with both Parsetalent and Greenhouse.
Authorize Your ParseTalent Account with Greenhouse Recruiting
- Open the Google Chrome Web Store and search for "Parsetalent for Greenhouse."
- Add the extension to Chrome and pin it for quick access. This extension will appear as a side panel, which you can minimize or maximize as needed.
- In the same tab, navigate to Greenhouse, sign in, and select Greenhouse Recruiting. Open the dashboard so you can see both the Greenhouse Recruiting account and the side panel side by side.
- Click on the Connect via Greenhouse button, enter your Greenhouse user email, and authorize the connection.
- Once the authorization is complete, close the pop-up window.
- Click on the green Click Here button to proceed.
Create a Harvest API key
To configure the Parsetalent integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.
Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the Parsetalent integration.
Credentials
In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:
- API Type: Harvest
- Partner: Parsetalent or Unlisted Vendor
- Description: Parsetalent Harvest API Key
Permissions
For the Parsetalent integration, select all permissions.
Enter the Harvest API key in Parsetalent
Once created, enter the Harvest API Key in the Parsetalent extension.
Click on "Connect via Greenhouse" to establish the connection.
Once connected, select "click here"
Enter your Harvest API key into the field and click Save Keys.
Use the Parsetalent integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
CV Parser
The CV Parser offers two powerful services:
- Parsing new CVs
- Parsing existing CVs
Parse New CVs
In the CV Parser, click on the "Select Action" button to open the dropdown. Click on "Parse New CV" to add a new candidate.
Upload the candidate’s resume by clicking in the drag-and-drop area or simply dragging a PDF file into the space. Only PDF files are allowed.
Review the parsed data, make necessary edits, and click "Add to Greenhouse" to add the new candidate directly to Greenhouse.
In the Greenhouse platform, navigate to Candidates. You will see the newly added candidate here. Open the Application Type dropdown and select "Candidate + Prospects." Here, you will find the newly added candidate along with their details.
Parse Existing CVs
Click on "Parse Existing CVs" to view the list of candidates in Greenhouse. Ensure you have a list of candidates before proceeding.
If a candidate does not have a resume attached, click "Upload Resume" to add one, allowing you to parse the data and get a detailed view.
Once uploaded, click "View Resume" to preview it if needed.
Click "Parse CV" to extract structured data from the resume.
Review the extracted data for background verification and you can edit and save updated information(name, email, phone number)
Candidate Information
Information that flows from Parsetalent to Greenhouse includes:
- Candidate Name
- Contact Information
- Resume Data
- Parsed Skills
You can add candidates to specific jobs or as prospects.
JD Parser
Before using the JD Parser, follow these steps in Greenhouse Recruiting:
- Create a Job
- Ensure all mandatory fields filled out
How to Use JD Parser
Click on "JD Parser" in the extension.
A list of jobs from Greenhouse will appear. Select a job and click "Click to Open" to view its details.
Ensure that a custom fields are set up.
Click Parse Job to extract and view the job title and description.
Edit the job details and click Submit Job Details.
You will now see parsed data from the job description, which helps you analyze key points and details.
Finally, the job information will be available in the Job Module under Job Info in Job Setup
Editable Fields:

- Salary range
Once updated, you will be able to see the changes reflected in the Greenhouse Job Info section.
Candidate Matching Process:
Before using the Candidate Matching feature, follow these steps:
- Go to the Jobs page in Greenhouse Recruiting
- Select any job and open it.
- Inside the job details, go to the Candidates section.
- Add candidates to associate them with the job.
Now, to evaluate which candidates are fit, unfit, or partially fit for the role, follow the steps below
How to Use Candidate Matching
Click on "Candidate Matching" in the extension.
Select a job from the list.(For this , a job list has to be in the Greenhouse account)
These are prospect applications for the selected job. You can view the associated candidates linked to
the job in Greenhouse. To proceed further please select candidates, and click 'Submit.'
You will receive a list of both fit and unfit candidates. Our extension will analyze the candidates and indicate whether they are fit or unfit for the role based on the parsed data.
After this, the user can determine the next steps for the candidate list in Greenhouse prospect applications based on the extension’s fit and unfit analysis. For example, if Aditya is marked as unfit for the frontend role, the user may decide to halt the interview process.
