Humaans is an HRIS built to be the foundation layer of an organization’s HR tech stack. It helps teams onboard and manage their employees through fast workflows, automation, and quick access to data. Designed for speed, Humaans features a beautiful people directory, document storage, time-off tracking, visual reporting, and integrates with many tools you already use.
Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with Humaans allows you to automatically import hired candidates from Greenhouse to Humaans. In this article, we will cover how to:
Configure User Setup Permissions in Greenhouse Recruiting
In order to enable the Greenhouse Recruiting / Humaans integration, you will need the developer permission Can manage and configure web hooks.
Contact a Greenhouse user in your organization with Site Admin level permissions with the additional user-specific permission Can edit another user's advanced permissions to apply the web hooks management permission to your account. Have the user with Site Admin level permissions edit your user account's permissions by navigating to the Configure icon > Users > Your Name.
The user with Site Admin level permissions should navigate to the Permissions panel on your user page and expand the Developer Permissions dropdown menu.
Select Can manage and configure web hooks so a check is in the checkbox. When finished, click Save.
Repeat as necessary for any other user who should have access to set up the integration.
Retrieve Humaans’s endpoint URL and secret key
To enable the Greenhouse Recruiting / Humaans integration, you will need two pieces of information:
- Humaans's endpoint URL
- Humaans's secret key
To retrieve this information please open the Admin area in the Humaans app. You will need to have an Owner or Admin role to set up the integration. In the Admin area, find the Integrations section and click Configure in the Greenhouse entry.
To enable the integration, click Enable integration.
This provides you with the endpoint URL and secret key as shown below.
Copy the endpoint URL and secret key to enter in Greenhouse Recruiting in the next step.
Enable Greenhouse Recruiting / Humaans integration
With Humaans's endpoint URL and secret key copied, and your Greenhouse user permissions enabled, you are ready to enable the Greenhouse Recruiting / Humaans integration.
To enable the integration, click the Configure icon in the upper right-hand corner and navigate to Dev Center on the left-hand panel. From the Dev Center page, click Web Hooks.
Click Web Hooks from the subsequent page.
On the Create A New Web Hook page, provide the following details:
- Name: Humaans Integration
- When: Candidate has been hired
- Endpoint URL: The endpoint URL copied from Humaans

When finished, click Create Web hook.
That's it! Your Greenhouse account and Humaans account can now talk to each other. These settings dictate execution of the Humaans web hook once the end user transitions the candidate into an appropriate application stage for a given job.
