Configure User Setup Permissions in Greenhouse Recruiting

In order to enable the Greenhouse/Rainmakers integration, you will need the developer permission to manage ALL organization’s API Credentials.

Contact a Greenhouse user in your organization with Site Admin level permissions with the additional user-specific permission Can edit another user's advanced permissions to apply the API credential management permission to your account. Have the user with Site Admin level permissions edit your user account's permissions by navigating to the Configure icon   > Users > Your Name)

 

The user with Site Admin level permissions should navigate to the Permissions panel on your user page and expand the Developer Permissions dropdown menu. 

Select Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials so that a check is in the checkbox. When finished, click Save.

Repeat as necessary for any other user that should have access to set up the integration.

 

 

Create a Harvest API Key for the Greenhouse/Rainmakers Integration

 

To create a Harvest API key for the integration, click on the Configure icon Screen_Shot_2018-05-24_at_5.31.51_PM.png in the upper right-hand corner. Navigate to Dev Center on the left-hand panel.

From the Dev Center page, click API Credential Management.

 

From the API Credential Management page, click Create New API Key to generate the API key for Rainmakers.

 

 

From the Create new credential dialog box, give your API key a name and select Harvest from the Type dropdown menu. When finished, click Create.

 

 

 

 

On the Manage API Key Permissions page select the following:

  • Applications:
  • Departments:
  • Offices:
  • Users:
  • Candidates, Custom Fields, Job Openings, Job Posts, Job Stages, Jobs and Sources should have full permissions selected.

 

When finished, click Update to save your key. Once saved, copy the key you just made to your clipboard.  

 

Your Harvest API key for the Greenhouse/Rainmakers integration is created and configured.

 


 

Copy the API key.

 

 

Add to Rainmakers website integration page.  Open Rainmakers.co and navigate to Settings -> Integrations. Paste the API key you copied to the Greenhouse Harvest API Key field. Add your Greenhouse User email to the Greenhouse Email field. Note- Candidates pushed to Greenhouse will have this Greenhouse user as the creator.[a][b][c]

Using your Greenhouse Integration:

 

After successfully integrating Greenhouse with Rainmakers, you will be able to:

  • Create Rainmakers Requisitions using existing Greenhouse Jobs.
  • Link Greenhouse Jobs to existing Rainmakers Requisitions.
  • Have Rainmakers Candidates automatically pushed to Greenhouse

 

Create Rainmakers Requisitions using existing Greenhouse Jobs:

  • When you click +Create Req, select the Greenhouse Job you would like linked to a Rainmakers Requisition. This will create a Rainmakers Requisition with the same name as the Greenhouse Job.

 

 

Unlink a Rainmakers Requisition from a Greenhouse Job:

  • In the Integrations section of a Requisition, click the “Unlink” button

 

To link a Greenhouse Job to an existing Rainmakers Requisition:

  • In the integrations section of a Requisition, select a Greenhouse Job you would like to link. Greyed out jobs are already linked to a Rainmakers Requisition.

 

 

Push Rainmakers Candidates to Greenhouse

Once a Greenhouse Job is linked to a Rainmakers Requisition, all requested Candidates for that Req will be automatically pushed to Greenhouse!
