Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with Cangrade allows you to seamlessly add a Cangrade assessment to your interview pipeline.

Retrieve your API key from Cangrade

Contact your Cangrade representative (support@cangrade.com) to receive your API key. Once you have received your API key, fill out the form at www.greenhouse.io/asksupport or click here to open a ticket.

Note: Do not send the API key in this initial email.

The Greenhouse Technical Support team will respond with a SendSafely link for you to enter your API key. A notification will be sent to the Greenhouse Technical Support team after you have entered your API key and they will email you to confirm that your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.

Note: To verify your identity, the Greenhouse Technical Support team might request you provide a Support Verification Code before adding the API key to your organization's account.

Create on-behalf-of user in Greenhouse Recruiting

When a Cangrade assessment is sent to a candidate, Cangrade will add a Note to the candidate’s activity feed to log that an assessment was sent. This entry will also include the URL to this candidate’s assessment. This feature requires the Note to be added On-Behalf-Of a Greenhouse User.

Create a user or select an existing user, contact your Cangrade representative with the name of the user.

Add Cangrade stage to job's interview plan

Once the Greenhouse/Cangrade integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the Cangrade assessment as an Interview stage.

When you modify an interview plan, the Cangrade field will be available in the dropdown menu. Select this stage and add it to the interview plans where you want to use the Cangrade integration.

Configure Cangrade stage

Once the stage has been added, click Edit next to Cangrade. From there, you will see a drop-down menu that reflects the assessment that you’ve previously set up in Cangrade.

Select the appropriate assessment, assign at least one Greenhouse user to grade/review submitted assessment, and then click Save.

Note: This configuration, including the assessments and email template, is controlled in Cangrade.

Use the Cangrade integration

When candidates are moved into the Cangrade interview stage, Greenhouse will display a Send Test link.

Note: When you send a test from Greenhouse, the interview instructions will actually be sent by Cangrade.

The status of the assessment will be viewable in Greenhouse and will display either:

  • Cangrade Assessment to be sent.
  • Waiting for candidate to submit test
  • Scorecard due from <DESIGNATED_GRADER>

Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view the submitted test on Cangrade.
