CodeSignal aims to make talent accessible by creating software and standards for assessing the technical skills of software developers.
Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with CodeSignal allows your organization to add a CodeSignal pre-screen assessment to a job's interview plan.
Note: The person enabling this integration for their organization will need to be a CodeSignal admin.

Use the CodeSignal integration
Add CodeSignal stage to your job's interview plan
Once the Greenhouse Recruiting / CodeSignal integration is enabled for your organization, you'll be able to add the CodeSignal pre-screen (formerly CodeSignal test) as an interview stage.
Navigate to a job (Jobs > Job Name) and click Job Setup from the job navigation bar.
Click Interview Plan and select Add a Stage.
From the Add Stage box, select the CodeSignal stage: CodeSignal Pre-screen.
Click Add to apply the stage to the job's interview plan.
Note: In the Default Greenhouse User field, you can specify a Greenhouse user account that will be used to submit feedback or add notes when a more accurate matching user cannot be found. You can create a new Greenhouse user account for this purpose.
Send and review CodeSignal Pre-screen from Greenhouse Recruiting
When candidates are moved into the CodeSignal interview stage, Greenhouse will display a Send Test link.
Note: When you send a test from Greenhouse Recruiting, the interview instructions are actually sent by CodeSignal.
Select the assessment and the name of the person who should evaluate the test. The candidate's email address will be auto-populated.
The status of the assessment will be viewable in Greenhouse Recruiting (like Sent).
Note: Greenhouse Recruiting updates test scores once every hour, so there may be a small delay between a candidate's completion of a test and the recording of his/her score in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Once the assessment is completed, the candidate's score will be recorded in the CodeSignal Pre-screen stage. The grader will be notified via email to review the candidate's result and complete a scorecard in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Once the grader has completed their scorecard, their overall recommendation for the candidate will also be displayed along with the candidate's score in the CodeSignal Pre-screen on the candidate's profile in Greenhouse Recruiting.
Click CodeSignal Pre-screen to view a summary of the candidate's scores.
Note: The CodeSignal Pre-screen stage may appear as CodeSignal test on jobs or reports created before April 2022.
When viewing the summary of results, click View Report to view the candidate's results (including coding replays) in detail on CodeSignal.
Schedule CodeSignal interviews from Greenhouse Recruiting
Note: Make sure you have already downloaded CodeSignal's Chrome extension.
You can schedule CodeSignal interview sessions directly within Greenhouse Recruiting by clicking Schedule Interview in the appropriate stage.
Select a date, time, interviewer, and location. When you're finished, click Schedule and Continue.
Under the Description field, click + CodeSignal Interview Link to create an interview URL. This URL will display at the top of the Description field.
The CodeSignal Interview URL will appear in the Location field. Send this URL to both the interviewers and candidates to access their interview session at the scheduled time.
Finalize the invitation and send this URL to both the interviewers and the candidates.
During or after the interview session, the interviewer can leave optional candidate feedback in CodeSignal. Any feedback will appear in Greenhouse Recruiting as a note in the candidate's Activity Feed.
