An essential step to ensuring your internal users receive automated emails, @mentions, and other messages from Greenhouse Recruiting is by allowlisting our email providers' dedicated IP addresses.

When the IP addresses are allowlisted, your internal email server will know the emails are safe to route to your internal users, which will reduce the likelihood of your internal emails being routed to the Spam folder.

In this article, we'll cover which IP addresses should be added to your organization's allowlist to support successful email delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How do we allowlist IP addresses?

Your IT Team will manage this for you. Please forward this article to your IT team for assistance.

Why does Greenhouse require so many IP addresses to be allowlisted?

Greenhouse maintains a list of IP addresses that we use actively to send email, as well as some additional IP addresses that we have on reserve in case we ever need to move traffic to a new IP address on short notice. We recommend you allowlist the entire list of IP addresses so your team will be prepared if we ever need to shift traffic between IP addresses. Additionally, we recommend allowlisting both sets of the IP addresses above, as we will continue to use both sets of IP addresses until the new set of IP addresses are warmed up, and the original IP addresses can be deprecated.

Are there any security concerns with allowlisting these IP addresses?

These IP addresses are all dedicated to Greenhouse’s Mailgun account, meaning no other platforms outside of Greenhouse Recruiting can use these IP addresses to send email.

As these IP addresses belong to Greenhouse’s Mailgun instance, allowlisting these IP addresses will not affect emails to your internal users from any other Mailgun customer or service, other than Greenhouse. Additionally, allowlisting these IP addresses will not grant Greenhouse or any other Mailgun customers visibility into your company email inboxes.
