Edit Opening on Job With No Approval Process

In Greenhouse Recruiting, the process to edit openings on an existing job depends on that job's approval process. In this article, we will cover how to edit the following details for openings on a job that does not have a configured approval process. 

To start, navigate to a job by clicking All Jobs from the navigation bar and selecting the job from the subsequent list.

Click Job Setup and navigate to Job Info on the left-hand panel.

From the Job Info page, navigate to the Req ID & Openings panel.

 

Opening ID

Opening IDs allow your organization to track openings on jobs in a systematic fashion based on naming conventions unique to your company's internal processes.  

Edit an Opening ID by hovering over the ID field inline with a specific opening and clicking the Edit icon edit.png.

Input the new Opening ID for this opening and click anywhere else on the screen to save your changes.

Status

An opening's status can be toggled between Open and Closed. Click here to learn more about how to close an opening on a job.

Change the status of an opening by hovering over the status inline with a specific opening. Click the Edit icon edit.png.

Select Open or Closed from the dropdown menu and click anywhere else on the screen to save your changes.

Open Date 

An opening's Open Date allows your organization to see when a job opening was opened. This field is editable since some organizations may have evergreen jobs that are perpetually open and you will want to update the Open Date for more accurate Time to Hire data. 

Edit an Open Date by hovering over the Open Date field inline with a specific opening and clicking the Edit icon edit.png.

Use the subsequent calendar to select a new Open Date and click anywhere else on the screen to save your changes.

Target Start Date

An opening's Target Start Date allows your organization to set a goal against a job opening. This can help keep your hiring team on track and allows your organization to measure hiring performance.

Edit the Target Start Date by hovering over the Target Start Date field inline with a specific opening and clicking the Edit icon edit.png.

Close Date

An opening's Close Date can only be edited when the opening's status is set to Closed. Edit the Close Date by hovering over the Close Date field inline with a specific Closed opening and clicking the Edit icon edit.png.

Close Reason

If your organization needs to attribute a closed opening to a different close reason, hover over the Close Reason field inline with a specific Closed opening and click the Edit icon edit.png.

Use the subsequent dropdown to select a new Close Reason and click anywhere else on the screen to save your changes.
