Rejection Questions

Rejection questions add structured data on rejections so your organization can collect and track more specific data on why a candidate did not receive/accept the job offer. For instance, your organization may want to track candidates who rejected your offer and instead signed with your competitors. In this article, we will cover how to create a new rejection question and preview the experience.

Click the Configure icon configure.png in the upper right-hand corner and navigate to Custom Options from the left-hand panel.

From the Create New Rejection Question Field, input:

  • Field: This is where you input your question
  • Description: Optional
  • Type: This is the desired format of the answer to the question

Additionally, configure the Privacy and Required settings for the rejection question.

Next, configure when this question should appear. There are two categories of rejections to choose between They rejected us and We rejected them.

For each category you can select whether:

  • the rejection question should appear for a rejection at any non-offer stage
  • only for a rejection at the offer stage. If the field should appear for a rejection

Note: Select both if the rejection question should appear for a rejection at all stages.

Note: Depending on the rejection question you ask, you can select a combination of different stages across both categories (e.g. They rejected us in an offer stage and We rejected them in an offer stage).

Click Save when finished. The rejection question will be added to your organization's list and appear according to the rules you have configured.
