Greenhouse’s integration with RippleMatch ensures that any candidate you advance to the next step in the interview process on RippleMatch will be automatically uploaded to the corresponding role on Greenhouse. In addition, candidates on RippleMatch will update as you move them to later stages in the interview process on Greenhouse. In this article, we will cover how to:


Configure User Setup Permissions in Greenhouse Recruiting

In order to enable the Greenhouse/RippleMatch integration, you will need the developer permission Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials.

Contact a Greenhouse user in your organization with Site Admin level permissions with the additional user-specific permission Can edit another user's advanced permissions to apply the API credential management permission to your account. Have the user with Site Admin level permissions edit your user account's permissions by navigating to the Configure icon configure.png> Users > Your Name)


The user with Site Admin level permissions should navigate to the Permissions panel on your user page and expand the Developer Permissions dropdown menu. 

Select Can manage ALL organization’s API Credentials so that a check is in the checkbox. When finished, click Save.


Repeat as necessary for any other user that should have access to set up the integration.


Create a Harvest API Key for the Greenhouse/RippleMatch Integration

To create a Harvest API key for the integration, click on the Configure icon configure.png in the upper right-hand corner. Navigate to Dev Center on the left-hand panel.

From the Dev Center page, click API Credential Management.


From the API Credential Management page, click Create New API Key to generate the API key for RippleMatch.


From the Create new credential dialog box, give your API key a name and select Harvest from the Type dropdown menu. When finished, click Create.

On the Manage API Key Permissions page, please give the API Key the following permissions:

  • Applications
  • Candidates
  • Close Reasons
  • Job Posts
  • Job Stage
  • Jobs
  • Rejection Reasons
  • Sources
  • Tags
  • Users

When finished, click Update.

Your Harvest API key for the Greenhouse/Ripplematch integration is created and configured. From the API Credential Management page, navigate to the recently created Harvest API Key and click Copy.


Activate Integration in RippleMatch 

Once you have copied your Greenhouse Recruiting Harvest API Key, navigate to the RippleMatch Integration page. Alternatively, you can also click Integration from the dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of your RippleMatch homepage.


Click Sync Account next to the Greenhouse logo on the Integrations page.


Paste the copied Greenhouse Recruiting Harvest API Key in the provided field.

Optionally, you can also select your name from the list containing all Greenhouse users within your company. This is not strictly necessary, as RippleMatch will automatically locate your user information from Greenhouse at this stage.

 Match each of your roles on RippleMatch with the corresponding role title on Greenhouse. This will ensure that each position on RippleMatch is mapped to the right opening on Greenhouse.

You are all done! Now, whenever you accept a candidate on RippleMatch, they will show up in the corresponding Greenhouse role. When you move a candidate to the next stage of the interview process or reject a candidate on Greenhouse, RippleMatch will know about it too!
