Each month, candidates using MyGreenhouse can mark one application as their Dream Job. This creates a strong, reliable signal that your team can use to prioritize candidates who are deeply engaged.
You don’t need to turn on any features to access Dream Job applications. They’re available automatically for organizations and candidates in app review.
Overview
Dream Job is a first-of-its-kind feature that allows job seekers to mark their application as their top pick, showing hiring teams their motivation for the role. Each month, candidates can mark one role they've applied to as their Dream Job making their application more visible to your recruiting team.
For your team, this signal makes it easier to spot:
- Candidates who are actively engaged in their job search.
- Applicants who are specifically enthusiastic about your company and this role.
- Opportunities to respond faster to highly motivated candidates.
What Dream Jobs mean
Dream Jobs are a way for candidates to self-identify that they’re particularly interested in a role. This is different from a generic application. It’s a signal that combines intent, clarity, and focus.
Why it matters:
-
It’s voluntary: Candidates choose when and where to use it.
-
It’s limited: They can mark only one application per month as their Dream Job.
-
It’s specific: They’re telling you this is the role they’re most excited about—right now.
Surfacing Dream Job candidates
You can filter for Dream Job applicants during app review. First, go to the job that you're hiring for. Select "Priority candidates." Then you can easily review Dream Job applicants, internal candidates and employee referrals.
Candidate Dream Job experience
In MyGreenhouse, candidates can choose their Dream Job from the application itself, or from their task list.
They can select any active application, then click "Mark as Dream Job."
After marking their Dream Job, candidates must wait until the first of the month when Dream Jobs refresh to choose their next one. Dream Jobs can't be canceled or transferred to another role.
