Outgrow integration

Outgrow is a platform that enables businesses to create interactive content like quizzes, calculators, surveys, polls, and chatbots without requiring coding skills. It helps engage users, generate leads, and boost conversions by offering personalized, interactive experiences that can be embedded on websites, shared on social media, or integrated into marketing campaigns.

Outgrow’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows users to send lead data to Greenhouse.

Create a Harvest API key

To configure the Outgrow integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key. 

Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the Outgrow integration.

Credentials

In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: Outgrow or Unlisted Vendor
  • Description: Outgrow Harvest API Key

Permissions

Verify that the following permissions are selected for the Outgrow integration: 

  • Jobs
    • GET: List jobs
  • Users
    • GET: List users
  • Tags
    • GET: LIst candidate tags
  • Custom fields
    • GET: List custom fields
  • Departments
    • GET: List Department
  • Candidates
    • GET: List candidates
    • POST: Add candidate

Configure settings in Outgrow

To start the integration configuration process you need to navigate to the Configure tab in your Outgrow builder dashboard and click the Configure icon (gear icon) for the Greenhouse integration.

Connect your Outgrow account with your Greenhouse account, specifying the following information:

  • Account Name: This is for internal usage only. You can specify any name here.
  • Greenhouse Email: The email address used to log in to your Greenhouse account.
  • Greenhouse API Key: The API key that you generated in Greenhouse.

When you're finished, click on Authenticate With Greenhouse to enable the integration.

Once your account is authenticated, select an account for passing on leads. Then, click Proceed with Lead or Segments to move to the field mapping section.

Select whether you want to continue with Lead or Segment. You will be taken to the Field Mapping section to map the respective Outgrow fields with the Greenhouse field.

Note: If you want to map a segment, select the segment that you want to map, and specify what happens to the leads that are not a part of the respective segment.

Once the integration configuration is complete, the Active Integration Connection toggle will be enabled.

Use the Outgrow integration with Greenhouse Recruiting

Once your integration is activated, a few actions are available:

  • Re-configure: You can use this option If your Greenhouse credentials have changed, you want to connect your Outgrow account with a different Greenhouse account, or you want to reset the field mappings that are already in place.
  • View Mapping: Allows you to review the mapped fields for the Outgrow-Greenhouse integration. You can then toggle between tabs to view the mapping across all fields.
  • Task History: The list of all the leads sent to Greenhouse. Queued leads that have not been synced will have the 'Waiting' status applied. Leads that failed to sync will have a 'failed' status. For each failed or queued lead, click on View Details to see the reason for the status.
  • Deactivate: Allows you to deactivate the integration if you don't want to send leads from a calculator or quiz to Greenhouse.
