Screened streamlines applicant screening with Ryan, an AI recruiter who reviews resumes, conducts phone screens, and manages candidate comms 24/7 so you can meet your best potential hires, right away.
Screened’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows you to seamlessly add Ryan’s assessment to a job's interview plan.
Enable the Screened integration
Contact help@screened.io to retrieve your API key from your Screened representative. Then, follow the steps in this article to add the assessment stage in your interview plans in Greenhouse.
Next, login to the Screened application and add your Job Description. Common document filetypes including .pdf, .docx, .doc, .rtf, and .txt can be uploaded.
The Screened application will assess the job description. Choose the relevant criteria for assessing applicants or add your custom criteria.
Once you’ve set up your interview plans and configured your take-home test, you’ll be able to send the test to candidates.
Use the Screened integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Once the Screened integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add the Screened assessment as an interview stage.
Edit your Interview Plan, select Add Stage, and select the Screened stage. Position this stage near the beginning of your interview plan.
In Greenhouse Recruiting, under the Candidates tab, move candidates to the Screened stage using Bulk Actions. Initiate a screening assessment by clicking Send Test.
Choose the role for which you are assessing and select the member of your team who will grade the results of Screened’s assessment.
After clicking Send Test, Screened will assess the resume fit for the role based on the criteria you configured during setup on the Screened application.
At this point one of two things will happen:
-
For candidates who do not meet most of your criteria: You will receive test results within a minute explaining why the candidate is unsuitable for the role.
(Note: Such candidates will not be contacted by Screened.)
-
For candidates who meet the majority of your criteria: Ryan, our AI recruiter, will initiate contact via email to schedule a screening call. This call is designed to further evaluate the candidate’s suitability for the role.
(Note: These instructions are actually sent by Ryan at Screened who will communicate with your candidate as your AI recruiter.)
If the candidate meets most of your criteria, their assessment status will be marked as 'pending' in Greenhouse Recruiting until they complete the screening call with Screened. (This typically takes 1-3 days, depending on candidate availability.)
Once the candidate has completed the screen call, the Interview Kit will contain a link to view the results in the Screened application.
To see a candidate’s results in Screened, click View Report .
Frequently asked questions
How do I set up a new role to screen for in the Screened application?
Before you begin using Screened with Greenhouse Recruiting, please login to the Screened application and add a role. All that we need is the job description.
After the job description has been processed, Screened will suggest criteria to assess the candidates on. Select criteria suggestions that are important to your organization for this role or add your own skills that are required.
Can you assess a candidate without a resume?
Not at this time. Candidates sent to Screened without a resume will be assessed as ‘not a fit’ at the resume screening step as there are no qualifications, skills, or experience that can be screened. Please reach out to Screened if you have a use case screening candidates without resumes.
What is the screening process like?
Candidate resumes will be first assessed for fit based on the criteria you’ve established on the Screened application.
If a candidate’s assessment results determine they are a poor fit for the role, immediate feedback will be returned to your grader, including an email summary and a detailed evaluation in the Screened application. In this situation, the candidate will not receive any communication from Screened.
For candidates with a strong or potential match to the criteria, Ryan, the AI recruiter from Screened, will email the candidate to schedule a screening call at a convenient time. (This typically occurs within 1-3 days, depending on the candidate.)
On the phone call, Ryan will cover relevant experience, problem-solving, and behavioral attributes. The call takes from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the candidate.
Note: Customizable screen call assessments ranging from technical skill evaluations to in-depth behavioral interviews are also available on certain pricing plans. Please contact Screened)
Afterwards, the candidate’s performance will be assessed by Screened’s mindful AI designed to recommend fair, neutral assessments. The grader assigned on Greenhouse Recruiting will be notified of the results which include objective, detailed feedback about the candidate’s qualities that matter most to your organization.
How do candidates communicate with Ryan?
For candidates that pass the resume screening, Ryan manages all the screening stage candidate communication by email.
Correspondence includes scheduling the screening call, answering questions for candidates, follow-ups if left pending too long, handovers to the next round, rejections, and reminders.
Think of Ryan like an extension of your recruiting team capable of communicating at scale to ensure no candidate at the screening stage is overlooked.
What does a screen call sound like?
