MyGreenhouse helps your company connect with motivated job seekers by making it easier for engaged talent to apply for your company’s open roles.

Overview

Our candidate portal, MyGreenhouse, helps hiring teams connect with qualified talent faster and with less effort. Job alerts keep job seekers engaged and aware of new opportunities, ensuring you reach interested applicants without extra outreach. Quick apply lets job seekers autofill their applications, saving them time and helping your hiring team focus on evaluating top talent, rather than following up on incomplete applications. Application tracking keeps candidates informed about their application’s progress without any manual effort from your hiring team.

Together, these features streamline the hiring process, making it easier to attract and engage the right talent by turning motivated job seekers into top-tier candidates.

Job board-level features

Job alerts and quick apply are added to individual job boards. To turn on these features, go to Configure, and select Job Boards and Posts

Then, go to Edit board settings on the job board where you’d like to enable these features and select Candidate features.

API-powered job boards

If your organization uses an API-powered job board, you can add a job alert sign-up widget to your job posts by following the instructions to enable job alerts. After you've activated job alerts, add your job board link from the URL section of the job board configuration page. Read more here.

Job alerts

Job alerts allow job seekers to receive notifications when your company posts new jobs. When you enable these features, widgets inviting users to “Create a job alert” will be added to your selected job board and job posts. The widgets don’t use cookies and won’t impact the performance of your board.

Job seekers can also create job alerts at the bottom of your job post.

When job seekers select “Create a job alert,” they’ll be redirected to Greenhouse and then prompted to sign into or create a job seeker account.

After they create a job alert for your company, they'll choose which types of roles they’re interested in and how often they’d like to receive notifications.

When your organization publishes a new job that meets this criteria, Greenhouse will send an email that links them to the job post. All job alerts that a job seeker subscribes to are sent in a single email at 8:00 AM in their time zone. Republished jobs are not included in the email. Job seekers also will be able to see job alerts when they log into their MyGreenhouse account.

Quick apply

Quick apply allows job seekers to fill application fields automatically so they can easily apply for Greenhouse-hosted roles. When enabled, a button inviting job seekers to autofill applications will be added to your job post.

When applicants select Autofill with Greenhouse, they’ll be prompted to create or sign into their MyGreenhouse accounts where they can manage their Quick apply settings. When they have completed their profile, they’ll be able to autofill any relevant application fields automatically.

Work preferences

Work preferences allow job seekers to share supplemental information about how they prefer to work, including the languages they'd like to work in, the employment type they're looking for, their preferred worksite and the location where they'd like to work.

Application tracking

Allow job seekers to see their application status, history, correspondence and tasks in one central location in their MyGreenhouse candidate portal.

What we share with job seekers:

  • Their applications to roles at your organization
  • Whether their application is active or inactive
  • Job posts, application dates
  • Self-scheduling, availability requests, take-home tests and forms
  • Emails sent to the job seeker from your Greenhouse account
  • Hiring team information relevant to the candidate’s application stage

To turn on application tracking, go to Configure, Job seekers, then select "allow application tracking."

Note: When job seekers use Greenhouse for job seekers, they create accounts directly with Greenhouse. Their Greenhouse accounts are not located within or connected to your Greenhouse Recruiting instance.
