Create a Harvest API key

To set up the Alex AI integration, you will need to create a Harvest API key for Alex. Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and make sure that allowed permissions match the below setting when creating the key.

Connect Greenhouse to Alex AI

When logged in as an admin in Alex AI, go into Settings > Connect your ATS, and select Greenhouse.

Paste in your Harvest API Key into Alex and click Test Connection. Verifying the connection will take a couple of seconds and then you will see a success message. After the connection is verified, press the Connect button.

After your connection gets verified, the Greenhouse Assessment API Key will be generated

This is the API Key you will need to send to Greenhouse support. Follow the steps in this article to set up the Assessment Integration and configure the required stage.

Once you’ve set up your interview plans and configured your take home test, you’ll be able to send the test to candidates.

Use the Alex AI integration with Greenhouse Recruiting

Once the Alex AI integration is enabled for your organization, you will be able to add an Alex AI Interview as an interview stage.

You can send an assessment to a candidate by selecting the Send Test button next to the interview stage.

Note: When you send a test in Greenhouse Recruiting, the instructions are actually sent by Alex AI.

After it has been sent, an assessment’s status will display in Greenhouse Recruiting.

Once the candidate has completed their interview, the Interview Kit will contain an overall evaluation of how the candidate performed on the interview, as well as a link to view the report directly in the Alex AI dashboard. Additionally a note will be added to the application to indicate that the candidate completed the interview

To see a candidate’s results in Alex AI, click View Report .
