Rocketmat’s Hirestar integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows candidates who apply for a job position to be automatically evaluated. Hirestar is an artificial intelligence API model, trained with more than 300 million profiles from the most diverse positions. Hirestar's integration with Greenhouse evaluates all candidates who apply for a job, submitting their resume PDF to the Hirestar API. This API parses the resume, and submits the contents to the prediction model that returns the Score (0 to 100) and a textual explanation of this score.
Create a Harvest API key
To configure the Rocketmat integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.

In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:
- API Type: Harvest
- Partner: HireStar by Rocketmat or Unlisted Vendor
- Description: HireStar by Rocketmat Harvest API Key
Permissions

Create an on-behalf-of user for the Hirestar integration
In addition to providing an API key with the requested permissions, it is also necessary to inform the user's ID in whose name the automated actions will be performed (on-behalf-of user). Information on how to identify a user ID can be found at this link
After creating an API key and obtaining the User ID, submit them to Rocketmat using this form.
For Hirestar to work seamlessly, the following custom fields are automatically created:
- Hirestar Job Title: The job title that is submitted to the Hirestar API to analyze the candidate's match. This job title must be as generic as possible, without including technical or internal company terms.
- Hirestar Application Score: This custom field is generated for each application and stores the candidate's match score as a value from 0 to 100.
- Hirestar Application Explanation: In addition to the score, Hirestar generates a text explaining in detail the reason for the candidate's score. This text is stored in this custom field of the application.
Use the Rocketmat integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Using the Rocketmat Hirestar integration is very simple. Automatically, Hirestar searches for candidates who applied for vacancies at your company. When finding a candidate who has not yet been evaluated by Hirestar, the integration API captures the candidate's CV and Hirestar Job Title and sends it to the Hirestar prediction API.
For this to happen, it is essential that the Hirestar Job Title field of the vacancy is filled in.
Unlike the Internal Job Name, the Hirestar Job Title is used by Hirestar to identify the candidate's match with the job. Therefore, the Hirestar Job Title must be as generic as possible, containing the position itself and optionally the hierarchical level or seniority.
Example of a good Hirestar Job Title: Senior Project Manager.
Example example of a job title that should not be used: ACME Department Manager - Remote Position (FL)
Once the Hirestar Job Title is filled, the API will search for candidates in all Jobs that have the 'open' status.
Candidates whose application has an 'active' status will be analyzed.
To be analyzed, candidates must have submitted a PDF CV in the application.
Despite having access to the resume PDF, the Hirestar AI does not use PII (personally identifiable information) information. Hirestar’s API parses the PDF to retrieve experience (company, job title, dates, etc.) and education (degree, degree, etc.) data. All other information obtained by Hirestar’s parser - as well as the PDF file itself - is discarded and not stored or processed.
After Hirestar analysis, the result will be automatically saved in the candidate's application.
The Hirestar Score and explanation of the Score can be found on the candidate's application screen, under Application Details.
It is also possible to filter by candidates who have achieved a score that is within a certain range.
To obtain the list of candidates with a score above 80, for example, simply go to the list of candidates and, in the filter column, enable the custom fields filter in Profile Details.
