ZYTHR is a tool that helps recruiters prioritize applicants and provides a contextualized analysis of why a candidate is or is not a fit for an open role.

ZYTHR’S Integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows recruiters to review applicants efficiently, also allowing them to disposition unqualified candidates and move candidates to the next stage in Greenhouse.

Set up the ZYTHR integration

Create a Harvest API key

To configure the ZYTHR’s integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.

Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the ZYTHR integration.

Credentials

In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: ZYTHR or Unlisted Vendor
  • Description: ZYTHR Harvest API Key

Permissions

Verify that the following permissions are selected for the ZYTHR integration (select all for each category):

  • Applications
  • Candidates
  • Close Reasons
  • Custom Field Options
  • Custom Fields
  • Custom Locations
  • Departments
  • Education
  • EEOC
  • Email Templates
  • Job Openings
  • Job Posts
  • Jobs
  • Job Stages
  • Offices
  • Prospect Pool
  • Rejection Reasons
  • Sources
  • User Roles
  • Users

Enter the API key into ZYTHR

After the API key is created in Greenhouse Recruiting, an admin will need to log into ZYTHR and add it to your organization.

To input the ZYTHR API key, log in to ZYTHR at https://zythr.com/login. Click on your initials in the top right corner and select ATS.

Note: If it is your first time logging in, ZYTHR will set up your account and you will need to request a new password.

Under API Key, paste the API key into the open field and click Add Greenhouse.io API Key.

Navigate back to your initial in the top right corner and click Organization.

On the organization page, you add users and assign licenses. Include the same email address used in Greenhouse for each user you're adding to ZYTHR.

Create a custom candidate field in Greenhouse Recruiting

Go back to Greenhouse and open the Custom Options page. (Configure  > Custom Options > Company Custom Fields > Candidates)

Select Add Field and use the following information:

  • Field name: ZYTHR Data
  • Field Type: Long textbox

Create a new user for the integration

To allow ZYTHR to run the analysis, you will need to create a ZYTHR User. To do this, go back to the Configure page, click on Users, and click New User.

Create a user called zythr@(YOURCOMPANYDOMAIN.com) with Site Admin permissions.

Example: If your company name is “Greenhouse,” you’d create a user account for zythr@greenhouse.io

On the Configure page, click on the user you just created and then change the First Name to ZYTHR and the Last Name to ON-BEHALF-OF. When you're finished, click Save.

Note: "ZYTHR" must be the first name for the analysis to work.

Use the ZYTHR integration with Greenhouse Recruiting

ZYTHR can trigger Greenhouse to send candidate rejection emails when triggered by a recruiter. To allow ZYTHR do this, we recommend configuring Candidate Rejection emails with the default sender as no-reply@mail-greenhouse.io. However, this step may already be configured.

In the Configure page, select Email templates and edit your standard “default candidate rejection” templates.

Ensure that the “From Address” is no-reply@us.greenhouse-mail.io

If you have multiple templates for rejecting at the “application review stage” also update the From Address on those templates. The recruiter will be able to select which template they use when rejecting candidates.

Once the templates are updated, you're set up and the recruiters are ready to use ZYTHR!

After you login to ZYTHR, you can click on the Jobs page at the top. This page will show the positions that you are currently assigned as a recruiter in Greenhouse.

Click on a job to see details on the role, how many candidates are at each stage, and available prioritization scores. You can sort this list to see candidates with the highest score that are the closest match.

Click a specific candidate to see specific details, such as the ZYTHR analysis, candidate's resume, and other applications. You can also advance or reject the candidate from this page.
