Skyvia is a universal SaaS data platform for quick and easy solving a broad set of data-related tasks with no coding: data integration, automating workflows, cloud data backup, building reports and dashboards, data management with SQL, CSV import/export, creating OData services, etc. It supports over 170 cloud applications and databases and requires no software except a web browser.

There’s no need for extensive technical knowledge, making it perfect for both technical and business users. It’s ranked as one of the Easiest To Use ETL Tools by G2 Crowd ratings and offers scalability and flexibility enough for any business needs.

Among data integration scenarios, there are basic (Import, Synchronization, Replication) and complex (Data Flow and Control Flow). Apply powerful mapping settings to load and synchronize Discourse data with sources having different data structures and schedule integrations to execute automatically.

Skyvia’s integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows data import, export, and synchronization with cloud applications and relational databases.

Create a Harvest API key

To configure the Skyvia integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.

Follow the steps in this article to create the key and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the Skyvia integration. Be sure to copy the key as you will need to paste it in Skyvia in the next step.

Credentials

In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:

  • API Type: Harvest
  • Partner: Skyvia or Unlisted Vendor
  • Description: Skyvia Harvest API Key

Permissions

Verify that the following permissions are selected for the Skyvia integration:

Select the Select All checkbox and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Create Skyvia connection

  1. In Skyvia, click +NEW in the top menu.
  2. On the left, click Connection.
  3. Select the Greenhouse from the list of pre-made connectors.
  4. Enter your API Key to create a Skyvia connection to Greenhouse.

If you want to load data to Greenhouse and not just read data from Greenhouse, you also need to specify your User ID.

Get a User ID

There’s a few ways to obtain your Greenhouse user ID. You can use the methods on this Greenhouse support article, or via one of the Skyvia tools — Query or Export. Both of these ways can be used even within the limits of the free pricing plan.

To get User IDs via Query, perform the following steps:

  1. Click +NEW in the top menu.
  2. Under Query, click Builder.
  3. Click Select connection on the left and select your Greenhouse connection.
  4. Scroll down the object list on the left till you see the Users object. Drag it to the Results pane.

After this, you can see your Greenhouse users’ data. Find the corresponding user in the table and copy the value from the Id column of the corresponding row.

Now, you can update a connection with Skyvia. In the Connection Editor, enter your API Key and User ID. Click Save connection

Use the Skyvia integration with Greenhouse Recruiting

  • Import Greenhouse data directly within major cloud and on-premise data sources.
  • Perform Greenhouse data synchronization with various sources in both directions.
  • Import and export CSV files to/from Greenhouse in a convenient web-based user interface.
  • Powerful mapping settings allow loading and synchronizing Greenhouse data with sources having different data structures.
  • Replicate Greenhouse data to a relational database and maintain this database in an actual state.
  • Schedule Greenhouse integration operations, like Greenhouse import or Greenhouse export, etc., to execute it automatically.
  • Use the power of SQL to manage Greenhouse data via the Skyvia Query tool. Skyvia Query also includes a Google Sheets Add-on and an Excel Add-in that allow Greenhouse export to Excel and Google Sheets with data refresh in one click.

Scheduling integration

It’s possible to set up automatic integration of data between Greenhouse and other applications and databases using the Schedule option. It’s available in every tool of the Data Integration product.

  1. Open the integration scenario of your choice.
  2. Find the Schedule option in the upper-left corner of the screen and click on it.

  1. Define the exact time at which the integration must take place. Otherwise, set the interval for recurring data transfer. Skyvia allows for setting the 2-minute interval, which is the near-real-time integration.

  1. Click Save.

Data querying with Google Sheets Add-on

Skyvia add-on for Google Sheets uses a powerful visual Query Builder that allows non-techs to craft and execute queries without SQL knowledge. Tech-savvy professionals can create queries using SQL syntax.

  1. Open any document in your Google Sheets account.
  2. Go to Extensions -> Add-ons -> Get add-ons.
  3. Type Skyvia Query in the search bar.

Skyvia Query

  1. Click Install and proceed with setup instructions in the wizard.
  2. Once the Skyvia Query add-on is installed, go to Extensions -> Skyvia Query -> Login.

Add-on settings

  1. Log into your Skyvia account or create a new one.
  2. Once the setup and login are completed, go to Extensions -> Skyvia Query -> Query.
  3. Select the workspace, Greenhouse connector, and the object to import. Specify the filtering and order criteria if needed. Click Run to populate the spreadsheet with the data from Greenhouse.

Now, you can apply Google Spreadsheet functionality to the loaded data.
