Owners can determine which employees have access to configure single sign-on (SSO) for your organization's Greenhouse Onboarding or Greenhouse Welcome account.
Create custom access roles with the Can manage single sign-on permission stripe and assign this role to allow specific users the ability to manage single sign-on from the Settings page.
Add SSO permissions to a custom role
To get started, you'll need to configure a custom role with permission to manage single sign-on.
From your Greenhouse Onboarding homepage, navigate to Settings > Data Flow > Permissions.
In the Custom Access panel, click an existing custom access role to manage its permissions.
You can also click Create New to create a new custom access role specifically for managing single sign-on. Give your new role a Name, then click Save and Close to begin editing this role's permissions.
Next, navigate to the Settings tab in your custom role.
Under Permissions, mark the checkbox Can manage single sign-on.
Your changes are saved automatically.
Any user who's assigned this role will now have access to configure single sign-on for your organization from the Settings page in Greenhouse Onboarding.
Assign users to a custom role with SSO permissions
Next, assign this custom role to give specific users permission to manage single sign-on settings.
Navigate to the Users tab for your custom role, then click Add User.
Under the Add user(s) field, use the dropdown menu to select each user in your organization that you want to assign this custom role.
Note: You can add multiple users simultaneously during this step.
Click Save and Close. Repeat the process of adding users as needed.
Note: Employee match criteria don't apply to custom SSO roles. If your custom SSO role includes other custom permissions related to managing employee data, match criteria will apply to those other custom permissions.
Once you're finished, custom access users with this role will gain access to the Single Sign-On tab in Settings and can begin managing SSO settings for your organization.
