Greenhouse Recruiting users can manually upload three different kinds of attachments to a candidate profile: Resumes, Cover Letters, and Documents. Of these three kinds of attachments, users can edit the settings for the Document attachment to restrict another users access. In this article, we will cover how to navigate to the attachment section of a candidate's profile and edit the accessibility setting for the Document attachment.

Greenhouse Recruiting users can navigate to a candidate's attachments by clicking the Details tab on the candidate's profile.
From the Details tab, navigate to the All Attachments section and click the edit icon inline with a Document attachment.
Select an accessibility setting from the provided dropdown menu. The below table summarizes the necessary permissions needed to view a Document configured for a specific setting:
Accessibility Setting | Description |
Public | Users with Job Admin level permissions or above, or users designated as interviewers can access the Document. |
Admin Only | Only users with Job Admin level permissions or above can access the Document. |
Private | Only users with Job Admin level permissions or above with the additional user-specific permission Can see private notes, salary info, manage offers, and approve jobs/offers can access the Document. |
