Aboard's integration with Greenhouse Recruiting allows teams to do more with less. As soon as candidates are marked as hired within Greenhouse, they'll automatically be added to Aboard, and their new employee journey will be automatically drafted and activated. New employees will receive a tailored onboarding experience depending on the role, department, and location they're joining.
Set up the integration
Create a Harvest API key
To configure the Aboard integration, create a Harvest API key. Follow the steps in this article to create the key, and verify that the credentials and permissions below are selected:
In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:
- API type: Harvest
- Partner: Aboard or unlisted vendor
- Description: Aboard Harvest API key
- Permissions
Verify that the following permissions are selected for the Aboard integration:
Departments
- All GET permissions
Users
- All GET permissions
Scorecards
- Select all
Applications
- All GET permissions
Jobs
- All GET permissions
Candidates
- All GET permissions
Job posts
- All GET permissions
Scheduled interviews
- All GET permissions

- Select all

Copy your API key to a secure location for use in the next step.
Enable the integration on Aboard
Next, log in to Aboard. Navigate to Settings > Integrations.
Click Connect beside Greenhouse.
Review the permissions requested, then click Continue.
Enter the Harvest API key generated in the previous step, and click Submit.
The integration will be successfully set up and ready to use.
Use the Aboard integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
When a candidate is marked as hired in Greenhouse Recruiting, they're automatically exported to Aboard as a member with the following information:
- First and last name
- Personal and work email
- Title
- Start date
Aboard then creates a draft journey and includes any default programs, and notifies all Super Admin via email or Slack that there's a newly drafted journey.
Note: Aboard syncs Greenhouse Recruiting data once per hour.
