Sometimes, a candidate will lose track of a take-home test email and need a new link for their test. You can quickly resend a take home test on the candidate's profile.

Note: This article only applies to take home tests created through Greenhouse Recruiting. Partner take home tests cannot be resent.

Resend a take home test (test not submitted)

If a take home test has not been submitted by a candidate yet, the test can be resent directly from the candidate's On Job panel.

Navigate to the candidate's profile and find the Take Home Test stage. (Candidate profile > Job > Stage > Take Home Test). Expand the Take Home Test Stage, and click Resend Test.

Resend a take home test (test submitted)

If the candidate has submitted a completed a take home test already, or if a user has manually uploaded a completed test on the candidate's behalf, you won't be able to use the Resend Test button.

Instead, use the Email button on the right side of the candidate profile under Tools.

Use the Email window to write an email to the candidate. Replace the subject line and body with the content from the initial take home test email.

Note: You do not need to include the test submission link in the new email. This link will not accept a second submission from the candidate. Instead, direct the candidate to send their completed test in an email reply.

Manually attach the test file(s) to the email by clicking Choose Files.
