Greenhouse Recruiting’s integration with Transcend allows customers to automate requests for access and erasure of user data within the Greenhouse Recruiting platform in order to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CPRA).
Create a Harvest API key for the Transcend integration
To configure the Greenhouse Recruiting / Transcend integration, you’ll need to create a Harvest API key.
Follow the steps in this article to create the key and verify that the permissions below are selected when configuring the Transcend integration. Be sure to copy the API key because you will paste the API key into Transcend in the next step.
Credentials
In the Create New Credential box, make the following selections:
- API Type: Harvest
- Partner: Transcend (Optional)
- Description: Transcend Harvest API Key
Permissions
Verify that the following permissions are selected for the Transcend integration:
Applications
- Get: Retrieve Application
- Get: List Applications
Candidates
- Get: Retrieve Candidate
- Get: List Candidates

Delete: Delete Candidate - (optional for erasure Request Only)
Users
- Get: Retrieve User
- Get: List Users
Set up the Greenhouse Recruiting / Transcend integration
Log into Transcend. Click the Infrastructure tab on the left-side dashboard, then click Integrations.
Click + Add Integration.
Search for Greenhouse, then click the Greenhouse tile.
In the popup that appears, click + Add.
Navigate back to the Integrations page, and search for Greenhouse.
Click the Greenhouse tile, then click the Connection tab.
Enter the Harvest API key you generated in the previous step. In the Audit Email Address field, enter the email of a site admin of your company’s Greenhouse Recruiting environment. When you make API calls, the audit email address will appear in the On-Behalf-Of user field.
Click Update.
Navigate to the Configuration tab and click the toggle to turn on Live Mode.
Use the Transcend integration with Greenhouse Recruiting
Test a data subject request
In Transcend, go to Privacy Center and click View your Privacy Center.
From the Privacy Center, click Take Control, then Download my data. You'll need to enter your email or login to authenticate yourself before submitting the request.
Check your email for a message from Transcend. You'll be asked to click on a verification link to verify the request.
After verifying the request, open Transcend's Admin Dashboard. Click Incoming Requests and select your request. If you don't see the request here, contact Transcend at support@transcend.io.
Once you've clicked into your request, navigate to the Data Silos tab and select Greenhouse. Inspect the data returned.
Finally, navigate to the Report tab and click Approve and Send. You should receive the report at the email address you submitted with the request.
Disconnect Greenhouse Recruiting from Transcend
In Transcend, click Infrastructure in the left side navigation bar, then click Integrations.
Search for Greenhouse then click the Greenhouse tile.
Click the Connection tab, then click Remove Integration. Greenhouse will automatically disconnect and will disappear from Transcend's infrastructure section.
